Hi there - heres a bit about me, & 'Karma', a blue 540i

Welcome Phil, nice story. -
Depends on how hard and focused you drive, the Accord is way more hard core than a 330i, different kettle of fish.
-
Broad scope is a good way of putting it. Bumbed I didn't see that SE for sale you mentioned, I search 325i SE most days so it must have only been on there for a short time, what colour was it?
-
Ray is selling this manual 325i-SE on TM at the moment, if it was a different colour I would be half tempted. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=614351851 The last Auto NZ new 325i-SE I looked at last year was $2.5k and was quite mint, so I would expect an auto to go for between 2 and 4 k depending on spec, the fact yours has an LSD is an upside but being an import will devalue it for a lot of people who will be spending top dollar in such a car. It comes down to the buyer though, the calypso red 325i-SE manual with Lether I wanted a couple of years back sold for close to 13k, was mint, NZ new one owner with less than 100k on the clock though, possibly NZ's best SE. I was left with my 10k wad in my hand and blue balls. So in short. f**k knows what they are worth. Hope this was of no help.

Would not worry too much, have brought cars brand new before and ended up the third owner some how. Cars like the 7 series trade hands a bit, especially when they are still worth money, people buy them and get paranoid at service costs or have buyers remorse when they realize what they drive like, and when they reach retirement age they get passed from rest home to rest home after shitting the bed multiple times.
-
Looks like any other mystery Japanese import, they are the best in the worlds at imitating and bastardizing cars so may be worth a thorough inspection if you are genuinely interested... could be a mistake when first registered in NZ, you can basically tell the registering agent you car is a "1995 BMW Banana Elephant" and they will register it as such. Tangent. As a kid my neighbor had a genuine B7 brand new, cost him near 300k and was magic, it had 19" wheels and this is near 20 years go, wheels alone were over 20k option apparently. So a second hand B7 is a bargain.

So is smoking and all the cool kids are doing it.
-
Tell him to sell it and buy a cheap V8 in Australia, you only live once and its only a 328i.
-
There is 20k difference in price, you could buy the diesel and fill it up well over 200 times for the price of the petrol, at upto 1000km a tan you could run it for the rest of its life! Evenly matched price and spec wise I would always take the petrol though, with the added cost of registration and diesel millage in NZ there is no real advantage.

Having a massive day of discovery myself, someone just told me about this new craze of planking, I was like planking, whats that, apparently you lie down like a plank and take photo's... have just uploaded some pictures on my new Bebo account. Also, check out this crazy new song I just heard, its called Gangland style or something, those crazy Japanese: Sarcastic Monday

Agree, SE's are awesome. Nice looking E30 efirty, great car, looks nice in white.
-
Ha, should be the new Bimmersport banner.
-
This guy is a care salesman of 7 years, BMW's run through his veins. Seems legit. I trust him.
-
Where can I find results for this race??
-
Good effort guys, very well done, great to see you stick it to a few exotics. Will be buying you all a beer seeing no one stacked it!

$50 says lift over steer into barrier at end of front straight.
-
Just change it to 3rd party fire and theft, should only cost a couple of hundred for the year... might not be worth it if its only a few months. Alternatively, ask the relative if the garage is insured for contents.

Dude I didn't even know the car had a alarm for years, always wondered what the silly red light on the mirror was there for, just assumed/pretended it was my Police lights and I was on an undercover mission. I no longer own the car, would instructions on disabling be in the owners manual?
-
How alarming. I owned my BMW for quite some time before I even realized it even had an alarm, I left my dogs in the car and they set it off. Everyone was surprised. How healthy is your battery?
-
Same here, and mine will brake at the last moment using more brake pads and fuel all in one. We had a E60 quite a few years ago, one thing that sticks in my mind is the lovely V8 engine ours had, was the cars best feature. It had active steering that was a bit annoying and clunky, had a DVD based GPS system that was useless, a gearbox that dumb and a sunroof that had a mind of its own. We had the 05 M545i and averaged 11.3L/100, not bad for a V3, was as good/bad as a Commodore V6 of the same vintage.

Also see: This is a bit of skill here, kiwi back roads lock to lock. You may want to check out a sport called Rally also This probably still my favorite youtube video, RIP Patrick Snijers, legend. Still think a pussy in a powerful road car doing a power slide is skillful?
-
Na, any pussy car drift a powerful car on a track. Check this video out if you want to see some nice road drifting.

Looks like a nice coupe that white one, that dealer has had some gems lately, I think they feed off ex lease trade in's. Would try low 60's, I bet it was traded for sub 50 I would say yes, yes I would, I have NAV on my smart phone that I just mount on my screen, its streams music and NAV through my Bluetooth and after owning cars with built in NAV I would not bother again, BMW's NAV system was useless and needed updating at cost all the time. Have also had variable steering on a couple of cars and I would happily go without that also, a car should have one mode of steering, good steering, not veritable stages of average steering, not saying the E92 is average but the E46 IMHO is better with its one mode. But I would not spend 60+ on a old second hand car with no factory warranty though, it would break and I could not afford to fix it
