How much for the plug and new hose?
-
Gus, both consoles are easy to replace the levers, just with the sheet metal one you have to take the Z3 lever apart and that requires some effort, I have to use a heat gun on mine to melt the glue holding it together, I tried gluing it back together but it's come apart again...when I get around to it i'll urethane it all back together. As for which lever you choose it's a personal choice, I dare say the Z3 M one would make my box way too notchy and would sit too low in the cabin.

Folks I've currently got a top of the line Fujifilm SLR styled digital camera but it's not a pure SLR camera and i'm finding i'm more critical of digital cameras when it comes to their speed at starting up and their ability to manually focus as the LCD screens are no good at showing the finer details. I've been looking at the Canon eos range, the 20D or 350D, anyone got experience with either of these or other digital SLR's in general??? E: My sig shows one prob, while I can take fantastic shots with my digi, other people haven't been able to - it's easier to take good pics with full SLR

It's a really basic thing to do, providing you have the rod support as opposed to the sheet metal support. There's an artical on it at e30zone, but troll through the old maintenance threads
-
Yip, it definately revs faster and feels smoother

i'm fairly sure the dia. of the AFM is alot smaller also on 320s. Nope, the AFM's have the same diameter, just the boot on the 320i tapers down to a smaller diameter at the TB whereas the 325i doesn't taper, besides, it's not the AFM that's the bottle neck
-
Those could definately be a go, I need a set of 16", do they come in 16x7 with et24???
-
Yeah, i've got the 325i T/B aswell, the 320i rubber boot fitted onto the 325i T/B with a little work so no need to get a 325i one. This is definately a must for 320i owners.

If you're so security conscious you'd register everything through a P.O.Box, my mail never comes to me, I go pick it up. E: Besides, I have an alarmed big double garage now

The theory is all good. It takes away the cloak and dagger secretiveness since there's no manfufactures striving for technical dominance. It's also cool that teams can switch drivers between races and events and that teams are again racing for prize money with a US 1 million prize pool for each feature race. The tracks are another thing, since they're not the well known ones there's that additional element of surprise in the racing aswell as drawing in the crowds, Brands Hatch was packed if you saw the tele. The next race is the German eurospeedway, i'll assume that's one of the DTM tracks.

Anyone following this? Personally I found this mornings race far more interesting than the F1GP even if the racers were relatively unknowns, I thought it even better that our Matt Haliday managed to get 4th in the feature race after starting from last in the pits. Shame the cars don't sound as good as the F1 cars but the racing is more competitive and more interesting IMO

Avoiding brake dust is as easy as not using your brakes. Anyone know a good pad compound/brand that really is dustfree or dust-resistant that is a good performing road pad?

You should gain a minute, if barely noticeable, power increase from raising the compression. You'd notice more from the octane increase, unless of course you raise the compression ratio considerably.
-
Is it a 2 door or 4 door, if it's a 2 door then you can easily break in to your car, 4 door's are a bitch
-
Andy, there is a CL unit which is behind the front right speaker, it can get easily water damaged due to where it's positioned which is probably the main reason why anyone's central locking may fail.

Just goes to show the callousness of some people, poor bugger, not only has he been screwer over by his wife but he's now never going to fly again either. E: I should point out that I don't condone stealing planes and threatening ppl

Nice to have a pom come visit us, our site is a little more social than E30 zone from my meanderings there, so pull up your slippers and pipe and join in.

My locking plays up every now and then when using my alarm, i'll arm the car and it'll lock the doors but then unlock them straight away, the car is still alarmed though. Just get an alarm anyway for the security, simplicity, and cheaper insurance.

I used it fine a few weeks ago, perhaps it's only admin/mods who can add new items??

If your car has a terrible idle and dies then a vacuum leak is a major cause It's easy to work out, check all the intake pipes for cracks and listen for a sucking sound with the engine running, give it a rev and listen. Especially check the rubber boot running from the Air Flow Meter to the Throttle Body as these crack on most E30's over time. Change the fuel filter after doing all the freebie checks and stuff, no point changing it if you don't need to but you should change it as part of the servicing of your car.
-
If it's only doing this when warm then it could just be injectors, happen to me aswell, learn to live with it as it's not a major
-
Is your problem occuring all the time or is it only under certain circumstances?
-
It's actually proved quite beneficial, since Labour scrapped the combat wing of the air force how does anyone propose to bring down a real threat??? I say real as that little plane would be like a fly hitting the sky tower!
