  1. I have had this same thing with 325 motors, just wont bleed properly. Have you tried putting a hose into the heater pipes and turning it on very slowly on a cold motor with the filler cap on, to push the air round the system to clear it?

I have done this to two cars that over heated like you are saying , ( one of them Penrys ) to fix an air lock that i could not get out. Worked a treat!

Ok, I did not know it did this thing then too. I thought it was just the one leak.

Why would it run well for one day and then this problem surface? Any ideas?

By technicians what do you mean? Where would I go to have this check performed? I would rather know EXACTLY what the problem is rather than guess and shoot in the dark.

What else could I have done to hinder the flow of the cooling system this badly?

  2. Yes it is our old car, and we want it back soooooo badly. we only sold it because we had no room for it, & if we had room now we would buy it back.

It did have the smiley headlights when we had it, and the things changed since we sold it appears to be the pod filter, and I think he may have fitted a LSD and a chip. ( but don't quote me on that )

It is well worth the money, & whoever buys it better look after it!!!!

Yes it is your old car, Yes it did have an lsd fitted, but not sure if it is still in the car, Yes it did have a Chip from the UK and not sure if that is going also.

Good car and well looked after.

  3. Yeah, I remember there was something about this on Fair Go a few years back- guy purchased an E36 from a dealer with aftermarket speakers in, it fails Wof, dealer not interested... didn't realise that it was all BMW sedans though, so will bear that in mind for my next purchase (which I'm pretty sure will be a Beemer :P ) Cheers Glenn!

It does not just apply to BMW, it is all makes and models, If you cut into the rear shelf, you risk WOF failure and bigish bills to repair

  4. With Dizy on the side of the block, its L Jet. 325i never ran L Jet computer so this has been swapped into the car.

You wont find a computer ( as far as i know ) that will sort your problem.

All 325i ran Motronic either pre or face lift ( 2 versions )

Need to change the loom to match the motor. best is to use Face lift as its a more useable loom, less sensors !

  5. Top bolts are a Shite.

Can be done but really it is easier to drop the lot out.

Probably need the Torx keys, as most 325i's that i have had use them.

Talk to Brian or PM me and i will give you my number.

    Ian

just got my 325i e30 yesterday. it was all good. checked everything out. ran sweet. and then today. was going fine. got to my friends place. turned it off. all good. started it up again when i left.... put it into gear and took off and for some reason something didnt feel right.

then. about 2 miniutes later i changed gear and the clutch pedal starts vibrating when you push it.

it seems to me like that is a signal that the clutch is stuffed.

can someone tell me how easy it is too do the clutch on my driveway? i have done a few gearboxes n stuff so i know how it works. but i heard that the top bolts for the belhousing are a mission to get too. can anyone give me some advise or info?

    cheers

    oli

  6. So the time has come (as expected) to replace my clutch, but when I put it together last time I rounded some of those stupid allen head bolts on the pressure plate, advice on removng them??? All my topics seem to be about bolts lol.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

I drill the heads off any allen cap type bolts, use a drill larger than the thread and stop as soon as the head falls or loosens, easy!
