  1. I totally agree with you Glenn. Manners cost nothing!

I am a bit too far away from you to use you services, but respect the fact that you have supported this forum out of your own pocket. I hope the locals that are causing the frustration read and act on the comments you have made.

I don't believe that we should "name and shame" them, that will only cause ill feeling and more embarrassment to the forum members that would not treat you in this manner.

Keep up the help and good attitude :)

  2. Unfortunatly its a fact, and a law.

I dont agree with it, in fact i have had the same discussion with the long arm of the law about it, But try talking sence to them!

I use my fogs in the day time as a warning on the open road, makes the car a bit more noticable!

Fight it with them, Making the car easy to be seen in the rain!

  3. hey. i have almost finished my conversion in the e30 just having a little trouble working out where to mount the engine oil cooler and i got a new facelift radiator. its quite abit smaller than the old one. was wondering if anyone knew how to mount the new one? any help and advice will be aprecciated.

Did you get the plastic mounts with the radiator, ?

You can use some of the pre face lift radiators, i have and it was no problem

  4. Sounds like either the Control in the drivers foot well, or adjust ment of the micro switch in the drivers door, has effect if not in the right place.

Also if the arm on the key barrell ( inside the door ) is broken it will not activate properly, have just fixed 1 car with this problem in the last 3 weeks.

  5. I have a feeling I know who it is from the plates except he says he bought the Bentley in 1985 in London and who I'm thinking of is too young for that. (I think).

Edit: No I'm wrong - was thinking of Max Fletcher.

It is David Blackmore, well known round wellie, has some real nice cars!

AND NOT SCARED TO SPEND ON THEM!!

  6. Should be 1 bolt through the center, Not sure if its torx or normal hex head. If you have the Motronic motor, after removing the Dizzy cap ( 3 small screws ) and the rotor ( 3 small cap screws ) it should be simple undo the bolt, and remove the washer and locating pin ;)

If its the early motor, two screws to removre the alloy bolck, then the bolt in the center, washer pin etc.

  7. Well thanks guys for all your replies - seems like the garage I spoke to were in dream land.

I did one last wek, with help at home on the floor, 2 Evenings in cluding a few issues getting the box back in.

10 to 12 hours 15 if you allow for things that go wrong, Max!
