  1. I'd have to agree. Stance is just trying too hard/doing it wrong.

    540i

I'm struggling to find any manual conversion alternatives for E34 540i's apart from the 6 speed which costs a million dollars. Is it possible to put together a bellhousing adaptor or similar to bolt a W57 or similar on? Was there a cheaper 5 speed option? I'm also guessing suitable clutch master/slave, flywheel would be just as hard to find? I guess this is the closest to a 540iS for a reasonable sum of money.

    Rusted E28

Lol, I think the latest is my favourite. Not sure they'd let me in the BMW series if my car looked like that I already have the ziptied front spoiler and JDM wheels

    BBs rs 16'

I "fit" 17x8, 17x9's on my PFL E30. Link here It wasn't quite right tbh. With just over two degrees front camber, my 18p 16x8's fit my front quite nicely. Bit of a roll needed. With the 17x9 rears, they would've probably fit just fine with a 20+ offset and about 2deg+ camber. FL E30's seem to have poor rear guards, it depends on the offset of your wheels as well. I don't think your current wheels are 8" wide tbh.
  5. That's mint! Any chance you can measure how high the knob would sit? And is there any particular reason why you went for this over the UUC shifter? I'm guessing the solid mounting would be tops for feel? Have been also been looking at getting my shift action sorted. It's not bad at all, but my MX5 makes it seem like I'm stirring porridge in the E30
  6. Porsche unsprung are several flavours of awesome. Centrelock hubs ftmfw.
  7. Lol, it's still orange. On the inside. And Cam probably wouldn't mind letting his go at that price! (His is a 1998 iirc) edit: That guy bought it new? He thought woodgrain was a good idea

So is it a 6speed? ...Or have I missed that somewhere in the thread?

    Best M5?

Facelift E39 M5 for me. Don't care about tech. Do care about a dirty V8 that isn't 100hp/L and sounds like a dirty V8 without ugliness usually associated with dirty V8's.

  15. Also, you might want to get either Treehouse rear adjustment or similar to avoid the negative changes in geo in the rear.

I'm probably going to go for some Advans next time. Not entirely convinced that R888's are the best semi out there... I still like sacked cars au! The colour is my favourite when it's clean. But I still haven't cleaned it in my ownership. It's just gonna get dirty again right?
  17. I race on spacers. It's the only way I can get wheels to fit my brakes. All the weight of the vehicle is going to be on the stud anyway. E30's aren't load bearing on the hubs. The reason you get vibration, etc, when not using a hubcentric ring is improper location of the wheel - usually from improper wheel mounting technique. However, I would still go for hubcentric spacers to reduce as much compliance as possible. OP: Remember the stud length and inner nuts are really annoying to get right with bolt on adaptors. Hubcentric (both hub and wheel) slip ons would probably be better/more foolproof imho.

    JiB's POS

Haha, thanks Simon. I still love the pos all the same Car felt fine. Not sure I care all that much if the m20 boat anchor blows up My brake bias is wrong, so my rears tend to lock first - had a opp lock moment going into turn one. was fun. They're just 205 R888's. My car is as high as possible because it makes it easier to work on and because hillclimbs/rallysprints don't reward low cars.

Lol, cheers guys. I do have the rest of my tech1 kit sitll sitting at home. But it was really annoying jacking the car, etc with it on. Found some happy snaps form my cellphone too. Have attached them, 'cos the photoshop on my phone only lets me save the file to the original size Edit: resize the pic please
