    E30 Turbo Coupe

What kind of diff has it got? Med/small case? LSD? Cheers.
  2. M3 CSL, parked outside Albany mall...looked pretty rough though

    18x8 BBS LM's

Don't suppose any 5x114.3 sets are on the way?
  4. If not sold I'd be interested. Where is the car situated?
  5. Someone please buy these! Sure, they're copies...but for under a grand!?!?
  6. State? Agreed value on my STi and Civic Type R. Both 2002 models, both modified, <$800 pa ea, comprehensive. Clean licence, 23yo. They wouldn't do agreed value on my old '89 e30 touring though, also modified. I think they prefer newer cars, but have been very good to deal with. Worth giving them a go?

    Transport companies

Used Capt transporter for 2 cars. Highly recommend! Very friendly, very professional.
  8. Bridgestone MY01 225/45R17 About 7-7.5mm of tread, even wear. Purchased for $760 in Sept last year, did 400ish kms on them. Garaged. Want $550 for them.
  9. I'm fastidious about logging fuel usage, over the past 4 months with my STi I'm doing 11.15l/100km.....no matter how I drive. Lol. Quite good for a Turbo 4wd I thought. About the same as our old 328i around town! Sure do miss the touring! Was doing 7.9l/100km when I had it and I drove it reasonably hard everywhere! Out of interest what are 3.0L m3 owners getting for fuel consumption?
  10. Hi guys, anyone know Mercedes specialists in Hamilton that are familiar with 190e Cosworths? Would like a pre-purchase done on one. Cheers.

    255/40R17's

As above. Need a set for street duty, tyres that were meant to come with my wheels were rooted. Budget depends on brand, etc. Would like a stiff sidewall if possible, a la RE050/RE040. (Bit of an odd size so can't find 040/050 in stock, not interested in RE001's). Cheers.
  12. Rotax 125, a cheap one might come with a trailer too!
  13. Thread dig: Anyone else got nz navigation on their n1? Had a maps update a couple of days ago- now I have full featured navigation! Very slick and street view integration is so impressive! Voice is a let down though. Will try the traffic avoidance and other features when I have a chance and report back.
  14. These sold a while back for $350 iirc I was bidding on them for my MX5 - but too cheap to bid past $300 haha.
  15. ^ Haha, truck wash is reasonably ridiculous - safe on paint but strips old wax quick fast! You're probably gonna need it for your new wheels if you're not gonna wax 'em!
  16. If you read my post - detergent/degreaser in the dishwashing liquid won't be doing your tyres any favours. So I wouldn't use Palmolive on the wheels either. Why not use a truck wash or similar on the wheels instead?
  17. Dishwashing liquid is essentially a degreaser which is good at removing the plasticizers and softerners found in car rubbers - windscreen, weather strips, tyres, etc. So that's my main reason for Automotive cleaners on cars - ie don't use dish washing liquid. Imho, the best course of action would be to get the wheels refurbished (or cut/polished if the damage is superficial) and then waxed afterward. After this a weekly wipe down with a damp cloth works a treat
  18. Check these out! Look like they have loads of caliper clearance for BBK's, should be nice and light too. Would be ideal for some 205/50R16's. Reeeally rare in 20p, sometimes, I wish I still had an E30!

    Quick Questions

Have you got a cage yet Nath (lost track of the changes to your green monster)? My race car didn't have one 'cos it didn't fit with the cage in there. Perhaps there might be dispensation for MSNZ vehicles?
  20. Holy moley, that's ridiculous. I'm guessing they have butt-tonnes of jacking to get around corners? edit: Like these fella's
  21. I've been getting updates as soon as they hit the US? So, I assumed that the updates were universal, guess not.. Running 2.2.1 at the moment, brut maps hasn't really worked properly on my phone since Eclair tbh
  22. I headed to Hamilton and back not too long ago - decided to try use as little motorway as possible, ended up some some properly gnarly roads! Was doing 4-8krpm for a solid 2 hours, only used 11L/100km
  23. If your car's setup for a stiff sidewall then you'll probably like the RE11's. My brief experience with them back to back with my r888's of the same size was interesting. About the same limit as the r888's with what felt like less slip angle, but steering response was well up from the r888's. I reckon they'd be trickier to drive 10/10ths. Bit of a bias test - some tyres suit different cars better, not to mention lack of repeatability and driver consistency I reckon just try different ones till you find some that suit your car/driving. Not hard to get an idea of what tyres are like from reviews, e.g. T1R's are soft, etc If you reaaallly wanted, you could send samples to Calspan My 2c
