6 series? Otherwise an E21?
-
At Auckland Uni, I get my monies doing oddjobs - everything from legal admin, very basic CAD work, home support. Finished a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Philosophy and Politics. Currently halfway through a Mechanical Engineering degree - involved in this Still zero debt ...though, it is super tempting to just hop on Studylink! Was it you that mentioned Blender Design? I'd be a happy man if I ended up doing something like that. <3 Research and development. Though I guess you guys are more design/graphics based compared to Prototipo or similar?

Should sound amazing! How about trumpets like this?
-
Bring your petrol flap with you or something. small and painted. That's what I did.
-
Click Here Barely used, it just sat in my store room/in my race car. I can count the number of people who sat in it on one hand.
-
Probably. Got a tonne of emails from people wanting parts, how-to's, advice, swaps, offers, etc. /Off topic Btw, if you're after a racing seat, I have an FIA approved Momo SuperCup for sale. It's within your budget

Car colours in Albany? They can match colours and throw em in a can if you want.
-
Nope. I never ran a 4.1...had a 3.64 then a 3.73. I had a e30 coupe with a green cage on trademe though.
-
Definitely do bushes if I suddenly got a cash injection for the car.
-
Welcome I think E30's are flawed...but I'm on my third one - they're addictive and fun. I'm going to go against the grain and say that I really like the 12 valve M20, suits the E30's character very well. If I were in the market for an E30, this one would be at the top of my list (even if I despise sedans). Otherwise you could buy mine for a million dollars

Unless you've got lots of oversteer experience/are comfortable with it....put the bridgestones at the back. How old are the tyres? Either hardened?
-
Supertourer! /thread. Don't suppose it's too cheeky to ask for pictures of the underbody/suspension?
-
I'm going to be orderings some AKG ones - raises the subframe 9mm. I think about $220 landed with current dollar.
-
Looks like your tyre profile belongs on a 19" not an 18" 19's, you better be slammed or you'll look like a rollerskate! (tbh, looks too big anyway)

I ran that stagger on my PFL coupe, 17p front and rear. Just needed rolled fenders, 215/225 width Kumho's. Couldn't fit wider than 225's in the rear though - I guess that's illegal now..
-
Any word on what material is being used? And how is payment to be handled?
-
Man, I forget how awesome they are w/o caps. Glws!
-
Could I ask why you didn't just buy a e36 323/325/328?
-
BBS LM's. <3 Looks good. So when's the to suspension going on the e30?

In one of the documents pertaining to plates, might be the VIRM - the plate pretty much has to be manufactured by the licensys (?). Though, it might be that the plate just has to comply with regulation - licensys are the only authorised manufacturer of the font/hologram, etc. So I think the issue was that if a replica was able to be produced, it wouldn't be from an authorised manufacturer and there'd be a breach of some other laws regarding licencing, etc. The plate must be mount in an unmodified fashion that is front/rear facing and entirely visible. So in theory the mild bending to fit my mtechII bumper is illegal, and so is obscuring your rear plate with say, a bike rack or similar. It seems like a bit of a farce, the price sure is! But like I said above - with regards to stolen cars, being lenient on unauthorised plates really does make it poos for everyone.

David - silverfox - had some racing dynamics 16" wheels. I couldn't quite justify them...but they were a very good deal at $500 for 5 wheels.
-
Oh, sorry - I was just curious as I was doing mine out of 4340 mild steel (8mm flat plate), with a 0.05mm general tolerance. I just wanted to know the material and tolerances to weigh up if it was cheaper/easier to just join in the group buy rather than machining it myself.
-
What grade is the material Glenn? 100+gst for 8 plates is cheap! Especially if there's decent tolerances and finish.
