Neil Fraser who's going to be doing my cert said I would need a re-cert for a displacement or power increase.

I'm not sure that's the right attitude - your insurance companies can withhold payouts if your car isn't warrantable. A lvv cert is definitely needed for a larger capacity and higher powered motor.

What pistons were used? If it is no issues and it will bolt into my touring without drama - I have $1800 to offer. Edit: just realised you said it pulls well. How long ago was it built? How many K's has it done?

I'm surprised no-one's jumping on these, I think the price is pretty good! They're ideal for an E30 going for some of those tasty 17"s that Johno is selling!

Need to get a written valuation for my touring. Where can I go that won't tell me my touring is worth $4000? ...Unless that's actually what it's worth Changing insurance companies to State (they've offered me a massive no-claims discount). Cheers, Jonathan.

Have 4 tyres as above. As new, less than 200km on them. After $650 firm. Will swap for equivalent 205/50R16's

For future reference - I'm not at all keen on adding money on top of the touring in swaps. Unless it's for a manual m3 sedan. Evolution. In Estoril. Otherwise, cash my way is entirely welcome. Have I made it difficult enough yet?

It's decided. Touring has to go. Will consider swaps with a mint manual 328i E36 (equipped with airbags of course). Will regret this. For sure.

My last one had a cage - girlfriend didn't like that one either I think by airbags they mean something newer, probably trying to break my fixation with old cars
