  1. -Oli- Has one 45mm strut, but I can't remember what side, I sold it to him as a 51mm (I did tell him though when I realised). PM him.
  2. ...lower fuel consumption, lower emissions, more power, more torque, lighter weight, smaller carbon footprint, more recyclable materials, longer service intervals...Apart from that what has the technology ever done for us??
  3. Saw you cruising around Botany with the dark mesh wheels on the other day, still looked good and low. BUT.. nowhere near as noticeable and stand out when rocking the big white 7er wheels, my 2c!! Shall we start a petition thread "Petition to get Jasmit to put his white 7 series wheels back on".. ??
  4. ^^Another car importer mis-leading the buying public. "Be the first in NZ to drive the 4 door 6-series", yeah right, apart from the dozen plus cars that are already driving around our roads. Might want to get them to update their web-site.
  5. Give Rodney at Platinum Chauffeur Drive a call - I know he has a number of long wheel base 7 Series on his fleet.
  6. Saw you driving around on the big white 7 series wheels -looked awesome. Can you teach my Missus how to drive around without f@$king up the front spoiler? Yours is immaculate, must know exactly how / where to go!
  7. How soon do you need to know Kayne? I don't have my laptop with me so can't look it up, I think Mike T might be in the office Monday so he could check for you.
  8. Did you use a new release bearing when you did the manual conversion? Could be the release bearing on the way out??
  9. Enjoy.. http://www.unpacking-power.com/ Frohlicher Weinachten
  10. Could have bought a bigger engine for that price.. The whole point of an M5 is not how it looks, it's how it drives. Can't see a 520i with some screw on bits will drive quite the same somehow??
  11. Might have to wait a while for that one, thanks to Apple changing the format of the connector, and the interfaces and the way they work through the connector, and not telling anyone they were going to do it, and not telling the techies at BMW so they could start working on an in-car solution.
  12. Come on Foxy, just because yours has the stripes doesn't mean it's a real Alpina, like this one is (*cough*)
  13. Missed this one first time around.Sorry if this seems to be coming as a BMW NZ statement that is not how it is intended. Disclaimer: the views given in this thread are those of the individual and do not represent those of BMW NZ in any way shape or form. I am comfortable with what I post, and am well aware of our corporate policies around Social Media and err on the side of safety. What is difficult is when I see statements that are either factually incorrect or biased and I feel the need to respond. This is a big topic for the whole of the vehicle industry in NZ and something I am involved with on a daily basis. Unfortunately there are still a lot of people out there who are not 100% mostly around imports. There are some interesting cases coming in front of the Commerce Commission as people are still being burned and I also wanted to sound a word of warning as I would hate for it to happen to anyone from Bimmersport where I didn't say anything.
  14. Ahh, so that's why it was parked up on the side of the road yesterday, so passing traffic could see the "For Sale" sign !
  15. Pretty sure Ray @ HellBM has gearbox conversions for E36 M3s listed on TradeMe, including fitting. Car looks to be in good knick other than the box, and at $12,000 could be good buying for someone.
  16. Hmm, sounds like someone needs a bit more training in the corporate vision...No such thing as a 3 Series coupe, the 4 series is a totally different series, as are the 1 and 2. Gone are the days where the coupe, sedan, wagon, convertible were 80% the same. Further differentiating the two with the numbering system and identifying the 4 as a more exclusive range is just a part of that.
  17. I have the down pipes and centre section but no muffler if that's any help?
  18. Yup, and they are all supposed to be there, and fitted at the factory. Series = X5, Model = M50d Just be thankfull they didn't decide on the full "M Performance 50d" from it's full title!! Hmm, would have to disagree with that one, the M badge is there for a reason - 3 Turbos 740Nm, re-tuned suspension. Goes like the proverbial off a shovel, real shove in the back stuff even in a truck this big, and it handles pretty well for a big vehicle.Would probably be pretty good at Le Mans as well, given it is a diesel and can return around 7ltr / 100kms when required. Try one, you might even like it!!
  19. Front view and side-on view are gorgeous from my view, longer car with lower roof line looks much "sleeker" than the E92 even though it is a bigger car. I have been reliably informed that the convertible looks even better with it's topless lines, looking forward to seeing that in the flesh. Not keen on the lower part of the rear, very angular exhaust shrouds, etc. have never been on my favourites list, fingers crossed the M-Sport kit smooths over those areas. These are shots of the actual launch car and if you wanted to you could buy one in exactly that spec, granted it has been tricked out with the most lavish interior (a bit too lavish if you ask me - does anyone really want baskets in their cup holders??) which will have to be toned down for the majority of models. However, with the intention of moving the 4-Series, 'up market' from the 3 it will still have to have a well specced cabin. Fingers crossed it is a hit with the buying public and we see quite a few of these great looking cars on NZ roads in the near future!
  20. Whoah there Big Fella! That's a pretty serious statement. Have I missed something in this thread, where did this idea of cars being mis-represented by dealers spring from??
  21. Happy Deja Vu Birthday Glenn. You are Bimmersport royalty, so I guessa you get to have two Birthdays each year as well !!
  22. NZ Post can't even manage to deliver two parcels from the Auckland mail centre to Cockle Bay, after it made it all the way from Greece to Auckland. It had my name, address and phone number on the outside of both parcels but they didn't even bother to try and deliver it as supposedly part of the address was quote "unclear" FFS.Now they have sent the stuff back to Greece, managed to lose one parcel completely and won't admit any responsibility for it at all. But at least its NZ post !
