How to do you get grease in there? The shaft isnt removable?
-
So far ive used 5w30, WD40, and some scorpion bearing oil (similar to light machine oil).

Had a quick search, couldnt see anything. Has anyone replaced the bushes in these? Im sick of having to lube mine every 6 months. It seems silly to replace it as it works fine just gets its annoying squeak on due to dry bushes (and likely some play in them)

Glad I dont plan on selling mine with 252k on the clock Its independantly valued for insurance at 16k...
-
That is stupid cheap... Rare interior colour too. Wonder what the vin is, plates no longer associated with it
-
My one is defective, warranty is also apparently void.
-
Worth it just for the downshifts
-
Looking at the prices of these internationally... thats cheap! I guess its an E30 that is significantly rarer than an M3... There is one in UK with 4 times the km, none of the ACS heritage, and its 48k GBP.

I did mine with pierburg pump (OEM) , new OEM thermostat, genuine coolant, all new ali bolts etc for $650NZD, and about 4 hours labour (having never done it before). Its nowhere near as scary as the internet sometimes says, and the pump was at 230 something thousand ks before it started throwing an intermittent canbus error.

Whole car was a bit gross, listing was withdrawn by the dealer, and then popped back a few months later at a muccch lower price point. Of the 30 NZ new 130s, only 12 are manuals.. Less NZ New 130s than 1Ms!

Pre LCI, but its a good one (member of the bmw 130 facebook group). https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/406731473410916/ I wouldnt too bother about pre/post LCI to be honest, better off sticking to just good ones

Ive seen one company (penrose somewhere?) offering a N52 tune, claimed something like 300bhp which sounds pretty "optimistic" Interesting to see the results though, nice car.

A.I is starting to become part of my job, crazy tech.

Im guessing so, dont the S65s do crazy stuff like unload all the ancillaries at full noise? Ill try get the to the next meet and your welcome to take mine for a blat.

There are few articles around the place, babybmw etc etc. I thought it was common knowledge What rack is in HellBMs "130"... Might be a good excuse haha
-
Not the article mentioned above, but recent UK mags article of Tiff Needells BMWs to buy now as they are going to appreciate in value.

^ What he said, less fuel, but less steering feels as well. There is actually a car magazine article (from memory it was a US mag, that didnt get 130s, but the guy was so amped about trying the 130s on the track he wrote an article on it), one was auto/manual and lci/pre lci, was interesting... and I cant find it anymore

Ive done 100,000+ km in my manual 130, its now at 250,000+ km... averages 8.5l/100 km and is on its 5th set of tyres by me (thats about 10k.. in tyres ) It has broken down a total of never times. Look after them, feed them good oil, and fix things before they break (like oil leaks and belts etc) and you'll be golden. LCIs have some have minor improvements (unloading alternators etc) for fuel economy, but its very minor, but also lost the hydraulic steering of the pre LCIs, so its not all win. LCI's have a better interior, but, again, its not major differences and if your dead set on the LCI interior its a straight swap to update (my 130s pre LCI with LCI interior). AFAIK all NZ new 130s are Msport, most Japanese imports are
