  1. was an eagle F1 assy 2, one of the originals when I bought the car (have been through a few sets..) no idea how old it was.
  2. SOLVED!! *dancing* Installed ISTA+ and got a K+DCAN cable. A few hours of naffing around to get it installed and talking and BOOM! Reset the engine DME learning and adaptations and its solved. Also using less gas and pulling harder, it doesnt feel way slower than the 130 anymore... It was like flicking a switch between runs like a dog and runs like new... Yay for piracy
  3. Ive done 100,000k on non run flats, with no spare, probably been lucky but havent been stranded yet! (couple of quick trips to the tyre shop for puncture repairs, and one delam, but still... not stranded! )
  4. Now all I need is some time.. looks to be quite a bit of work removing the car from the sump. Reasonbly cheap parts though, couple of hundred bucks for everything including all new bolts and the engine mounts. Even the engine support was only $80.
  5. Put car on tardme. Price it above everything similar, as its better. One text message 2 days after listing, comes around an hour later, looks it over, pays you asking price in cash with no haggling or screwing around and takes car. Why cant all tardmes be like this!

  7. Manukau specifically, I have a wide brush
  8. Got all the bits to do the sump gasket and engine mounts on it... and just realised I was looking at the wrong diagram and have ordered the sump bolts for an auto trans engine.. apparently they differ. Doh ? Im going to try drop the subframe while disconnecting as little as possible, some people say the whole subframe must come out (ie drop the suspension as well) others seem to have done it and left all the suspension together and have around a foot of clearance with the subframe still attached to suspension and the subframe simply lowered. Has anyone actually done this here and able to comment?
  9. Well.. this is getting hawkward
  10. Pointy end... just think of it half an S65, that doesnt eat bearings: ITBs, 11:1 compression ratio, 5 valves per cylinder and vanos ?
  11. Ordered the Belsee unit, will see if it chooch or not.
  12. I hate Mag and Turbo with a passion, bunch of halfwit crooks who shouldnt be allowed to work on bicycles, and threw Hyperdrive in the same group as them. I was wrong though, Hyperdrive are a bunch of GCs, would instantly use them again.
  13. Very tidy factory BZ Touring. Definitely one of the nicer examples around, not a basket case of bad mods and hack jobs. Priced accordingly, just drive it. 230 something k on the clock. Drives great, 6 speed shifts smooth without crunchy synchros. Happy Black top 4AGE, drinks the usual amount of oil and only fed 98 in my ownership. Average 8.3km/l on my drive, and makes the magic 100+ hp/litre. Practical, but good fun car to drive, handles really well for a FWD, close ratio gearbox and an engine that is happiest at 7k rpm Selling as I bought it for commuting Akl-Raglan daily, and its no longer needed ( cant justify 3 cars ). The last 40,000km are pretty much all on the open road. In the past 20k - New clutch kit New rotors and pads. Brake fluid flushed Gear box flushed Coolant flushed New plugs and leads. In the past 5k - New KYB shocks and cobra springs New cambelt, idler, water pump Every. Single. Oil. Seal. No leaks! Thermostat and switch. Will come on new Neuton NT5000 tyres on the front, near new on the back. 17" ROH blades, need a refurb if can be bothered. New Sony digital media headunit, Rockford fosgate/JVC 6" components, Kenwood undeseat subwoofer. Sounds good. Decent Uniden Alarm. Replacement headlights have been ordered, factory ones are starting to craze. Drivers window regulator safety switch is bit keen, it occasionally triggers early, otherwise its a good un. Interior and upholstery have just been cleaned. Cut/polish/wax and its pretty shiney No mad rush to sell, will go on tardme in a few weeks. $4500 ono
  14. Cleaned all the cars, after telling the boss where he can insert his job, its quiet good for mental health

    RIP - 2019 1 Series

Its a chinese mini for people who like "exclusive" badges, but find the mini marque too "common people". yay. I bet the M version will have 8 exhaust tips and 37 wings to compete with the type R civic.
  16. New plugs and coils - No change. Reset adaptations - No change. Have been watching the oil level, im conviced something odd is happening as it fluctuates by 700ish ml. Wondering if there is a block in the oil seperator and its filling and dumping (into the sump and or intake). The 130s oil level is solid as a rock in comparison. Ordered new CCV system kit...
  17. Greenlane Auto Panel Repairs or Greenpark Panel and Paint?
  18. Can anyone recommend me a car painter in south auckland area. Want a decent job, poor colour matching makes me sad. 130 needs bonnet and both bumpers resprayed. Stone chips and a crows foot in clear etc. Paint is diamond black metallic. My plan is to strip the bonnet and bumpers while car is getting sump leak done, so panels will just be dropped off.
  19. Anyone got an engine support bar I can borrow? The kind that spans the engine bay from the guards. Gearing up to do the 130 sump gasket

    WHO COOKS

    I beg to differ
  21. 250,000km on the 130, not a single fault with the valvetronic system.. so yeh id say its reliable. BMW ditched it with the N53 etc as the similar end results can be had (in terms of fuel efficiency/power/driveablity) with direct injection... which is cheaper and easier to make!
  22. Great, the little bissell is good for small jobs like cars etc, have had it for a few years and it always just works. Its amazing how much coffee comes out of things, the corolla for instance didnt look that dirty previously.. its just the interior has changed shade a few colours! Have a hoover standup carpet cleaner as well, and its rubbish...
  23. Thinking about this a bit more... Car uses roughly twice the oil of the other one, and drinks gas more than I would have expected (more than the extra weight and auto should really). I wonder if theres is something goofy happening with the CCV system?
