yea but that one will be full of rust.a few have sold over the last few years here for about $2500 to $5000 but all those had 200,000+ km etc he trying to sell 2 of them for that money no standard 5spd zf gearbox like in a 525i 328i etc but with a transfer case bolted to teh back of it .but yes look very similer to x5 type etc you can also get e30 325ix and e46 330xi etc in left hand drive

yes just use the big red cable , most e34 models have the battery under the rear seat on the right side. always use a volt meter when hooking up car stereo gear , dont work blind

yes most jap import ones are made in sth africa , also quite a few e30's end up here from the same route.

are you sure they are leather , as there was a vinyl option sold that looked like leather , had breathing holes in the centre panels

6500-6600rpm or so , on mine , i hit it often. does yours go to 7k glenn??? seams strange to have a engine with a small port intake manifold built for low end torque but let it rev that high??

twin pipes all the way 2.5" plus in size. no front mufflers or cats , 750i v12 e32 centre muffler and some cheap S/S rear muffler , power pro or something at the back. K&N panel filter the car started off with a factory 530i v8 system when i got it with the front cats cut out , sounded like this. was a bit manky i fitted that up when i put the 4.4 in souded ok , but i wanted something a little more v8 sounding and the pipes where a bit flat in some areas and rust in the rear box , so next i fitted up a complete rear section from a e32 750i (bigger pipes etc) had new larger front pipes welded in to match it. it gave it a better sound but ended up being a bit quieter due to the huge size of the rear muffler, so i then had that cut off and fitted a cheap power pro thing. probably a bit loud now , cackles and pops on over run and light throttle etc. but i cant be bothered changing it again

i would be checking all the suspension arms , bushes and ball joints they all wear out , also the e39 have adjustments for camber in the rear etc. but if the bushes/arms have not been changed in the last 80,000km i would say they would need doing. i have some if needed

if you are going to the trouble of taking a car back to OZ take a good one . i wouldn't bother with that one , just sell here complete or in bits

i have a mint one soon , 2000 model e36 318ti 1.9L motosport with all the fruit , seude sport seats with racing checker inserts, black headlinning , later sports type steering wheel , side airbags , 16" alpina style bmw alloys , full body kit incl boot spoiler, sports suspension optioned not manual but that can be done for extra. only done 56,000km drives like new , looks like new underneth. call me if interested 021433600 wont be super cheap but i believe its the best one out there. also have a mate with a red one with the m/s kit std interior 1.9L 1996 helrot 5spd manual 150k maybe about $5kono
