had it since august 2004 . been a long project . barn yard find to std car with newish engine . used it for driving to work for about a year . then suzanne used it for about 1 year , then off the road for M5 engine conversion , now i just use it every now and then . i fact i enjoy it so much i have been using it everyday lately . goes up hills real fast , good for trafic light starts etc .. just got to sort out some good tyres now . and maybe change the wheels for something a bit meaner deeper dish 16" or 17" wheel . up to 498600km now . just about run in .

yes they crap out . i have one 021433600. or could be afm or idle control valve .

jamex where toooo low . hard to good launch with so much neg camber .(axle tramp ) H&R are a little better , bit stiffer in the front too. 1st pic with old jamex springs .. next pics with the new h&Rsprings. and some pics with std mtec springs and when i first picked up the car from a farm up north of welsford

you will need to use the e30 m20 starter as well to match the flywheel. the early e28 gearbox mount bracket is metal , easy to cut weld etc

dont bother with M30 type engines . use the 2.8L M52TU engine i have . b same block type . just need all the ecu's engine loom etc to match

a freind of mine owns it , nice car very tidy , k's are high , but not high for a e34 535i .(my e28 m535i 498,000km) he has done some suspension work to it , incl adjustable camber plates and bushes etc . good luck to him .

i have nice e34 535i m30 engine easier to fit has teh right sump for starters

almost brought that car was too slowwwww. do you want to swap for my e39 540i touring

yes e30 and e36 do have different front mount castings , old e28 use similer case to e30 . but you can take the gears from one newer casing and fit to old type etc .

yes e28 525i is a M30 e28 525e is M20 . have pulled apart a few 525i models . used to be heaps driving around . just dont see many now .

doesn't cost much to just take it to a tint guy to do , 1985-2007 is pretty big range , my guess he doesn't know his beamers , probably send you a e34 one
