i have a good basis as to my belief ,as i own and have owned both types , e30 e36 e28 e34 e32 e24 e23 etc etc and the fives are built better have better engine options and have good power to weight ratio's if you get the high spec engines,and are also nice for cruising in , the 3's just bounce around but i still like to drive my 325ci 5spd to work most days , but fun the e28's have it , ie: M535i or M5

put it on a dyno , should be about 160-170kw at the wheels. try gavin at hi-velocity. north shore .

a freind of mine owns that car . not bad cond , he has spent a bit to tidy it up . just got some more bits from me to make it complete . synter did the work in the UK . the car yard is selling on behalf , and they put the price on it , not my freind

yea , go the M30 3.5L more torque and tunnable to 400hp if needed

i got this engine in bits from a guy who i sold another one too. i just wanted a few engine parts from it .yes had oil it . guy was still using it a bit like this , before he sold it to the guy who i delt with . just said on trade me , engine making knocking sound!!!

you can buy headers that fit M30 3.5L in to a e30 . uk shop

noisy top end ???, if the cam lobs are worn down enough the the valves get shut to quickly then the head of the valve breaks off and then kills the piston(s) and head etc .looks like this. check number one lobs on the cam , if they look something like this its stuffed . maybe also check the camchain is it turning with the crank . try to turn it by hand back and forth.

thats a pic of the old type dizzy used on 2.8 and 2.5 M30 engine, the 3.5m30 uses same type as late M20 f/l e30 etc

ok , how much ?and whats the k's now ? M3 eh!!! . yes thought of replacing my e36 325i 5spd coupe with a 328i 5psd or e36 M3 3L.for my daily work hack

prob is that the wheel is on the wrong side , cant imagine how many time might pull out to overtake and hit something . thats if you where able to overtake with a 2L 1.5 ton car.. i supose i could fit a 3.5l TURBO INTO IT and convert it to rhd with all theparts i have . and after i have spent 2 to3 months plus doing all the work and some money might end up with a half way decent car .
