i have a good jatco box coming out of my car soon . replacing it with manual How much would you be wanting for this box and would it be all good to bolt up to the m52 1997 320i? And is it a big job? I've worked on nissans a fair bit, engine and trans wise, but never anything this new. Could I diy it without too much trouble? easy to swap . tight inside the tunnel . should be ok to go up to M52 . just need to check plug/pins etc . $500 plus fr8. 021433600

the gearbox will fit . you will need M20 starter to match that m20 flywheel . drive shaft no use from e28 , you can get e28 front section welded up to e34 auto one . cost about $400 or so balanced etc . gear shifter mech is to short . is it the ali sort . (hard to cut and weld ) you could buy new one from bmw . i actually have a complete kit for sale from a 525i e34 m20 .that will bolt up no probs . maybe i can trade some of the e28 bits . call ah 021433600 or 2997389 cheers brent . just converted a 1990 535i to manual in dec.

ok , its got 96000miles onit . leather is pretty good , tyres good , needs new wof and reg , engine runs ok , smokes a bit ( not sure what it is myabe just needs a good thrashing to clean it out ) been sitting for a little while , 3 speed auto . panels and bumpers are pretty straight , couple of spots of rust on inside of front gaurds , and a spot above RR wheel . and sunroof has a patch in one corner . looking for offers around $3k. will upload some more pics in next 2 days

trade me saw a high specd 2000 330i tiptronic the other day on trade me had nice wheels ac body kit etc , black and red leather . was offered back to watchers for $23k was almost going to click buy now , when noticed someone bet me to it . .offer only lasted 1 hour ... had done 147k , the guys reserve was $27k .... not a bad deal i thought . http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=87745328

i had a luk in my e34 535i , was usless . have brought a rebuilt kit fro auto clutch inmorningside . they test the clamp pressure of the plates . std F&S one is about 1400 to 1500Ibs std luk one about 1300Ibs i got recond F&S one tested at 1570Ibs and new clutch plate and bearing $270 . heaps better than what i had before , they are also going to do a speacial carbon/kelar mix one with 2400Ibs plate for my M5 engine .about $700

81 635csi , 3 spd auto . black leather seats . 91000miles or so . usual spec . original bbs 14" alloys , reg on hold . probably needs normal amount of work to tidy up . just uploaded some new photo's

worn cam shafts , or maybe hydrolic lifters worn . my 325ci 1992 , ticks when first starts up for about 3-5sec

the M5 .... . alpina is rare , but not enough power , and its a auto .(convert to manual) for $15k maybe

m10 is different , yes m30 box will bolt up to M10 engine , also M3 e30 engine . butr different to all M20 , m40 etc . i sold a conversion kit from a 95 318ti e36 , that went into a e36 320iA 4 door , they had no problems . just used the front half from the ti driveshaft fitted to the rear half of the 320i one . maybe the m50 and M42 have about the same angle on them . in the e36 car . i myself have fitted older 260 box from M30 528i 84 which has older metal shifter mech into my grey e34 535i that i sold , just cut and welded in some extra meatal to lengthen the shifter parts . and had driveshaft modified . used e34 shaft and had new pipe and e28 end weled to the front section .

i agree .v8's are nice but a V12 is just awsome . had a 750iL for a little while , what an engine . love to put one in a e34 , 550i just talk to the guys that build V12's in the lambourgini factory , they will tell you what the best engine is ...

try nee at euro car parts papakura 2991234 . he has a e36 328i ( was smoky but maybe just pcv valve ) or you could just pull the head off . and he also has a i think a e39 528i and maybe a e38 728i .

yes go on buy it . lots of fun , these cost about $130000 when new . very good build quality . i have one with 488000km on it now

yes i know it well . my freind fixed it up a few years ago . should be good car . is uk import no so its lighter . was originally an auto , was converted with bits from a 525i i stripped . had good engine and low k's gearbox . had sleight frontal , was dereged then rereged etc , cost my mate a bit to get done , the guys at the vin place are fussy . call if you want more info 021433600

head should have stamped HARTGE and H23 or something . mine had these makes on left side of head just above No. 2 and 3 intake ports , and tags welded to headers . mine had H5SK on it how much for head/block , headers , gearbox kit.

yes main problem with the 34 is the weight . std specs e28 m535i 157bhp per tonne.. e34 535i 138bhp per tonne.. maybe mines around 150bhp per tonne e36 325i 140bhp per tonne.. (my one has been chipped and more open exhaust ) maybe upto 147bhp per tonne e28 M5 204bhp per tonne.. cant wait to do the m5 conversion in to the e28....
