i have a nice 5spd auto for that car .. locks up in 4th and 5th no probs

have to be hartge , e34 5 series best looking kit .. also did some pretty wild conversions . e30 with M88 . 1 series with M60 v8 tunned V12's in 8 etc

my 1990 535i 5spd with hartge engine and body kit ( which she scrapes up). its got the best stereo , best handling and brakes , and i get to drive the little 325ci .stock suspension and crappy sounding stereo , might start driving the e28 M535i to work again withthe M5 engine in it if i can afford the gas .

is that as you pass me with STEAM coming out of your exhaust drain pipe picture when i owned that car 4-5 years ago

ITS ALIVE!!!!! had a problem with it . cranks but no spark so no go , track it down to FQS in the ECU , sorted starts now , very loud with no exhaust ... no coolant yet , waiting for radiator from germany .. also have booked it into a shop for some exhaust modifing to fit better and modeify rhs engine mount to fit better etc . tidy up wiring loom to fit the car better . and should be all go soon . oh better replace crappy tires before puke .. and swap out master cylinder for the e32 one ....

been there done that , took my about an hour to do my coupe with sunroof . have to remove front seats in a sedan i think .. pretty easy just takes time , fits through front doors . just screws, rubber trims and caps nothing complex

just got the engine in ..

e28 the e30 of today . i have always liked the e28 , my dad brought one of these brand new in 86 , a freind of mine owns it now ...3.5L more power and torque , e28 not to heavy , good ecnomy for a 3.5L car around 9L per 100km on trip and about 12l around town .. 0-100 7.2sec std with std M30 , should be around in the low 6sec soon with M5 engine .. and no ecnomy ... new plate to be fitted . engine came from a e23 85 M745i

got the old engine out last wednesday night ( i think) .. spent this week sorting new clutch , skmming flywheel , trying to sort radiator out , ended up ordering a brand new M5 raditor (ouch) . spent this afternoon , fitting flywheel , clutch gearbox etc to engine .. my bestest mate Marty helping me . swaped a worn steering box and univesal over and also swaped over a wiper motor while the engine was out of the engine bay (old one was a bit slow) after 490,000km and 21years of use.. first tried fitting enginebox in with headers still attached to the head , not enough clearance around the steering box and cross beams etc . so ended up dropping the subframe , sway bar etc . which gave us enough room to swing the engine in then bolted back up the subframe . still have some issues though have to modifya engine mount to clear the manifold etc and get the headers reshaped to clear the swaybar etc and weld up to original sports exhaust thats in the car ... some pics from the afternoon .... will be hooking up wires hoses etc during this week while i wait for the radiator to turn up from germany..

you can fit a stroker kit into your engine , is it a m20 or m50 engine, any way you can fit a crank from a e28 525e or e36 328i etc .. but better to sell and buy cheap 535i or 540 just like every one else says , swap interiors over if needed . good luck ... how about marty's top cat 5L V12 engine kit , bolts straight into e34 chasis .....

try glove box light , common for switch to move . i had a casstte radio once that had a bent ejection arm and was activating the eject solinoid and that causing the prob .

got from a farm north of welsford . had a blown ecu , worn cam lobs , square tyres , cracked screen , full of %#^&*&^^. looked like he had been mixing concreate in the boot . we stuck a ecu in from my wifes 535i , got it started and drove home about 1.5 hrs away . had to stop to change a realy bad wheel with a bump in it . .... have since changed the blue interior to black , fitted a semi rebuilt std engine into it . wheels , ,screen , dash , cleaned up rust in the boot , brakes , bushes , new suspesion , lowered springs now (not in pics) , and just about to fit the M-power engine to it for its half a million KM birthday .(from a sth african e23 M745i) then will get it repainted . also have some PP for it .
