another way is to open the boot , pull boot light down , conect 12Volt battery to light bulb (check which is positive) then use the central locking . or as above conect to starter motor (done both before) . i have a good key and lock set if needed $80

yea my thoughts as well . but was told by ersnt at bavarian motors that it could be also engine oil cooler leaking into radiator core ( the trans and oil lines all go into the main radiator) so could be 3 faults stuffed radiator and pcv valve and leaking inlet manifold gasgets . will investigate further when i have some time .

HHHMMMM ,i have a e32 730i V8 at the moment , which puffs smoke on start up and idles rough .maybe some problem . also it puts oil into trhe radiator . and the oil looks brown etc.

yea it hid most of the cracking .looks ok from a distance .it would have cost me about $500 to get professionally resprayed , but i figured it wasn't worth it on the cracking leather , maybe one day some good recaros will fall out of the sky . would cost heaps to get recovered about $1000-$1500 maybe

i have been able to fix the idle problem on all the M30 3.5l engines i have owned .normally vac leaks ,clean ICV and AFM , retune afm , new plugs ,filters etc , clean or replace dizzzy and cap .

i can also fix idle problems .give me call home easter friday

also if you have the option in the head unit or in the amp eq setting s always cut the bass going to the front and rear speakers if running a sub . dont try and forse bass into speakers that cant do it . it will take the stress off the speakers and amps and clean up the top end sound . set the sub to 50Hz and below and cut the bass to your front and rear speakers at 100-120hz should give you a nice flat response .

yes hi , i have since done the door cards as well . dyed and fitted the blue panel with the holes in it to the grey/black surround looks quite good .is yours blue interior . how's the engine going , got that head on yet .

i did it myself , brought some vinyl/carpet spray cans from repco .VHT brand

i have one with some wear in it , you can get them rebuilt at franklin cams in pukekohe .i also have a complete , excellent 2L engine from a nz new 320i you could buy for $500 or offer me enough and i might sell bits off it . whats the millage on your motor .
