Picked it up. There's not a mark on the car at all - Grade 5 Jap import.
-
I just had to watch that again. That noise would give one a semi
-
The noise from that trans is awesome. Nurbergring is one hell of a track & punishes cars. That first driver especially knows that track well, either that or the guy has big balls.
-
Yep, things are a bit cheaper this side of the pond.

Classic!!! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Property...n-150325145.htm

Love a car that's been looked after like that, tough looking unit also. Apparantley there was a 840Ci so not too sure why it's advertised as a CSI typo? http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/car/?car=17622 210kw would sound great!

Have recently owned a Boxster 986 Convertible, was an awesome car to drive, just massively unpractical for an IT Engineer lol! Absolutely beautiful vehicle to drive, not huge horsepower, but awesome sound & they have that X factor! Mine was a 1998 Boxster 986 Manual 60km & NZ New - Was a very very good one, when buying a 2nd hand Porsche you need to do your research as it's easy to get a lemon or one that's been thrashed! I would liked to have kept that car and had the E60 as a drive vehicle or the Touareg I've just bought. They're a pain in the ass of a car to use around town, but on a nice summers day on the open road it makes it all that worth while. They're farkin brilliant!!!!! The noise with the roof down at 6500RPM is awesome!
-
Hahaha! I think my E60 clicked over to 34,000km on Saturday
-
In no way shape or form!!!!! Merely commenting to give a guage on the size of the E60 5 Series lol. Thats as comparative as the two cars get Other than being in the same country lol!
-
Thats an awesome E30 there, I notice it has an airbag aswell!
-
Not really too concerned. Would only buy a diesel or smaller engined vehicle to get the resale. They rekon if your car uses heaps of fuel, just keep putting more in! The E60 at the moment is returning 8.9l / 100km which is awesome for a car the size of a VE Commodore.

Yep, you can nearly scrape 200k with an optioned up Touareg V10 - I'd rather have a V8 Cayenne if that was the case. Clarkson hated the V10 and was more impressed with the petrol Touareg's. He loved the power/torque from the ToeRag but under normal driving i.e picking up the kids from school, he hated it. I think you'd have to have a serious use for the V10 TDi Touareg as they're farkin expensive and a mongrel to drive. Apparantley the 3.0V6 TDi's are very impressive...

Thats the most retarded thing I've ever heard of. I'd put that $82 towards shotgun shells for the idiots who came up with that idea! Is Plates.co.nz owned by government or is it privately owned?

Goto www.germanplates.com I got my euro plates (NZ) landed here in NZ for $120NZD that included 2x plates, 2x brackets for screwless installation and tracked shipping. There is an issue in that plates.co.nz has copywrighted it's product, but the guy will send you stickers at your request for the NZ and NZ fern either side of your plate (even though he sent them affixed to the plates anyways lol) They're made to a very high standard, & being german probably better than the ones made here anyway. Plates.co.nz are miles overpriced!

Love that X6 - Looks the goods, they're getting the same engines as the X5? 3.0twin turbo diesel?
-
Nice. Yeah the V8's are coming down in price. From what I've gathered the V6 is silky smooth & pretty quiet. V10TDi are still 95-100k lol, twice my budget. Not sure how they are a whole twice the price of a 3.2V6!!!!!
-
Nice 3 series you got yourself there. Think I've seen the E36 on trademe? Nice car also! Welcome to BimmerSport
-
Cheers. Looking at spending 2k ish on a nice E30 & local if possible. Got the Tow Rag from a crowd up in Auckland.
-
Without fail. Still looking for a nice well priced E30 & when I get one would be keen on doing an outing or two with the Dunedin club.

Forgot to add Jeremy... I had a mate of mine foward that link to me. Not bad, not bad at all! The interior however makes my eyes bleed, needs to be black! Turners always seem to have fees 3 ways from Sunday which puts me off. They barely disclose them & I found myself having to ask for them when I bought a car a few years back. It also puts me off when they have phone bidders. Infact it gives me the shits!
-
Yeah they do sound very good even with a little amount of money spent on the exhaust systems. I'm happy with the choice of the Touareg. I'm to be the first owner in NZ, have a guarantee in writing saying if I'm not happy with the unit it is straight back on the boat and back to Auckland. I have driven two down here in Dunedin and are happy with the way they drive, well, more than happy! So I know what to expect

I'll throw a spanner in the works here. I drove the 3.0i 6 Petrol & the 4.4i V8 and I'm sad to report that I didn't like it. I did however like the 3.0d which I found to actually go better than both the 6 and V8! Especially between 80kph & 140kph! However, I couldn't afford to jump up to 60k for a 4x4 Co-incidentally the E60 is sold and I pickup my new ride which is lol lol lol..... a 2005 Volkswagen Touareg. I drove them all, Range Rover, X5 (all in the 40-50k price bracket & the Touareg made the most sense, it had IMO the better ride, better performance and I can't at the moment give justice to feeding a V8, not with petrol prices getting worse. The V6 won't be an angel but then again, it will perhaps be easyer to sell. The Touareg has a 3500kg tow capacity, 10 airbags, all the gear & will serve us well for the coming winter months. BMWPower & Happie will know what it's like living in Dunedin with the winter we had last year and FYI I live on the highest streets in Dunedin (Halfway Bush) Here's a pic of her anyways which I pickup from Lyttelton on the 19th! - Not to worry, I'm still hunting a decent E30!
-
Thats alot of car if it's scored for 2k, excellent condition & it's not far from the truth when he said they have awesome build quality.
-
Christ... With age I'm going blind, even @ 26 lol
-
Thats not a bad idea guys. I think there's a place down here in Dunedin who supplies them or do you's know of the outfit who supplies the warranties?
