  1. This has been for sale for quite some time. He's asking E46 M3 Cab money for it, 25k more than it's actual value IMO. I think if you look at most of his listings he's not keen on selling things in a hurry, still, to his credit & after a quick glance he doesn't seem to have many Toyota's for sale.
  2. How the hell he got away with being that far over!
  3. I'd have a Kia, Hyundai any day over a Toy Boata. Turned out it was only a few 1000 over, the current sticker was missing, they issued a new one and then I was able to test drive. Quite impressed with it. Will I win it though :S
  4. I'd say it would be just under a couple of grand to get it up to date, kind of dampens the purchase price!
  5. I kinda feel sorry for them, especially if they were told that they were Alpina models when they bought them.
  6. Looking at Accent Diesel for work, I do do a few k's every week up to 700. This would be a temporary thing. Does anyone know anything about these? I'm thinking it has the same engine as our old Kia Rio diesel & that car went bloody well. I'm looking to spend about 5k on something & needs to be cheap to run & able to get up & down the Dunedin hills which is where it spends most of it's time. With the RUC, the mileage is 96kms aprox, but the RUC on the sticker shown ran out at 50kms? Who would be responsible for this?

  8. How on earth the American's managed to only get 300kw out of a 8 litre engine is beyond me! Torque's not too shabby but 300kw from a 8 litre V10???
  9. Wasn't that Corolla thing filmed in NZ? I mean seriously, a Corolla of all things on Top Gear? Next they'll be putting Prado's & Landcruisers in review - well at least it wouldn't take long to review, 0-100 in 3 working days...
  10. It's not funny Mike, it's written into NZ Law. They only Toyota I've ever wanted to own was Clarkson's ute with a Honda 225 on the back. Even then, was it reliable upside down?
  11. He/She can't legally charge you without prior consultation. End of story. Call your bank, they will do a credit card charge back. It would be especially helpful if you could provide proof that there was damage prior to hire. When we travel overseas, I always take photos of every angle of the car we hire as I've been burnt in Tasmania once before, well, serves me right for going there in the first place I guess! You have a leg to stand on, he should not have charged you without prior consultation, it's borderline credit card fraud. You seriously don't want this to head to court with a summons e.t.c It will only take up your time and cost more money, avoid this, avoid it like a Toyota.
  12. My E90 has xenon's & does the adjusting thing, but the E46 has normal lights and does the adjusting thing too upon startup. We have a Ford Territory, but that just has candles on the front.
  13. That's not very British of you!
  14. Not The Diesel Guy's cup of tea sorry.

It's an old car and he's spent 40k on it. Kiss that $$$ goodbye.
  16. I've got a Import E90 and just used this post by Jochen, worked instantly. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....hl=radio+change

  18. If I was to arrive at something like this for 90 slides, I'd be looking at alternatives too but in saying that, for 90k 650 horses in a newer Euro is pretty cheap? On the other side of the coin, I always thought that modifications don't actually add to the value of the car, ie 20k car with 20 spent on it is no more valuable but perhaps harder to shift when it comes time to sell?
  19. 220kw and 220 tones with a pallet full of anvil's hanging over the front wheels isn't going to make for great excitement no! That said, it would be one of those cars that would just keep hauling ass relentlessly.
  20. Word. If you were to have something like that, I'd be worried that something wold break.
  21. I think we've partially decided to hang on until one comes up for sale in NZ. This way I can fly wherever, get it checked out & ask the guru on it's history. Still looking at importing the E70 though, they seem to be bloody cheap at the moment over there especially.
  22. Don't you wish they'd just bugger off! If they're not coming in under a proxy, can't we at least ban Russian/Chinese IP addresses?
  23. I've still not found one that was in my price range. I want a good one, but not prepared to pay the much higher prices for a minter & on the other end of the scale, I don't want a mongrel with 50,000kms of track use.
