Definetley put together better and better materials used on the E39 vs E90 I had.

Ok, so with the boot issue it was a broken spring. I was sitting out on the deck lastnight with a cold Heineken & thought, I'll have a go at this, spring was broken so I unravelled two pieces of wire from the spring, simply wound it back round the mounting point on the latch and boom. Sorted! Just the rocker cover gasket to go now.

Way ahead of ya, made it go blue. Is there any software available to upgrade the graphics on these? I remember I could do this on my MK3 16:9 system I had on the E53 ...

Here it is with a bit of a tidy up, spent over an hour cleaning the wheels, wheels which are hideous IMO. Needs a nice set of Schnitzers!

mate do you have the locking mechanism's ? Price do Dunedin?

I've been using & selling ESET NOD32 for about 6 years now, it's a country mile better than most as it doesn't strangle your machine & actually does work well. Based in Auckland as a subsidiary. I use it in corporate environments such as schools, kindy's, one hospital I do work for & home use. If you like Glenn, I can do it for you at my cost, supply you a link for download, and give you a registration key, pretty straight forward.

Cheers Jason, pick it up tomorrow, will post pics

Cheers for that, I think the pre F/L E39 and E53 didn't have the soft-close, & the one I'm looking at is a 2000 model.

Have found one for quite a reasonable price. It's done circa 240kms and everything is as tight as a drum (doubt a new BMW would be like this) bar a couple things. 1.) the boot won't shut, it just refuses to! 2.) there's a strong smell of burning oil as if oil is coming into contact with the exhaust somehow? Visually, I only found the below picture (rocker cover ??) seal? Anyone had experience with those two issues?

Jeeze I thought you liked Auto's Ron? I've had an E90, have an E46 320d manual now, but the E46 F/L in NZ or UK spec have to be still one of the better looking cars, built better than an E90 anyways.

My X5's all had tape decks too. Stackers in the boot though, I'd imagine that car will have a stacker in the boot also.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/330i/auction-669019141.htm NZ New, Motorsport, Facelift, good kms, right motor & good colour. Does anyone know what type of stereo it has? Looks factory but never seen that type before? Only thing missing is manual, but I could live with that. Nice looking car.

All relative though really, as in theory you should get your cash back come time to sell.

Only because Mike watches is most nights..

Be the last car I'd want for one of the jewels.

Yeah my old one never whined, had a nice whining noise when you started it on the choke, but that obviously wasn't the diff. Cheap fun tho Christian... Drive it > BANG > Part it.

Service time again. Battery replaced on Monday to the tune of $200! Can anyone advise what type of oil to put in the subjected car? She's now done 232kms. Cheers.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=664071286 Seems a reasonable price. These cars are a boatload of fun. Has a diff whine apparently.

Make long stretches of road, i.e Canterbury plains e.t.c 110-120kph and remove the retarded 90kph for light trailers - yes there's more cars on the road than when the 100kph limit was introduced but cars are far more safer now than they used to be, it would take a Failcon 500 12 football pitches to stop from 30kph. I got busted for 111kph on an empty road a few weeks back, straight slight downhill (have not been done for speeding in over 10 years) - had my radar detector on and in the distance the bastard flicked on his signal and I was done, he had his lights on way before we had even seen him, have noticed this in the past where you'd be right up to them also and they flick it on setting the radar detector off! I don't condone speeding (60kph plus) in 50kph areas around kids & schools as I see this more dangerous than heading down a straight piece of road doing 110-120

Thanks for that, can understand a little German.

The one I've been using for a while now is the Russian one here : http://www.rubmw.ru/vincode/eng/ but it seems you need to register & not so keen on that, that & my Russian aint too good. Anyone know of a good one?

Manual it is, when in Rome..

Which is why you'd have to get anything checked out from Turners, when selling privately you have interaction from the owner, with Turners all of that stuff including any liability is left at the door.

Or the label isn't big enough to contain all the numbers on the l/100km section!
