http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=644605581 So I call the guy and ask him for the registration number and he won't give it to me until I win the auction, I asked for the plate # so I could do a bit of due dilligence i.e check for any finance owing e.t.c I'm also leading the bidding currently which I advised him of, I told him to check my username as it has my commodore on there so you'd think he'd get the message that I'm genuine but no... He claimed someone tried to steal the car a few weeks back but I'm unsure how I can do that from Dunedin! Is anyone in the area that could go take a look at the car?

It's the most fun ever going up it, as long as you don't come across a 450 year old Honda City which I just did 2 hours ago. The subjected AMG mercedes was something else going up there.

Purely because with me, I live at the top of Dunedin, near on 400m above sea level, the hills tend to take it out of the l/100km and I frequently drive this road https://www.google.co.nz/maps/preview#!q=Three+Mile+Hill+Road%2C+North+Taieri&data=!2m1!1e3!4m15!2m14!1m13!1s0xa82eaa60dfb0a927%3A0x24a0c157311a0098!3m8!1m3!1d14980576!2d175.3101282!3d-40.7998944!3m2!1i1920!2i930!4f13.1!4m2!3d-45.8476832!4d170.4219027&fid=7

You could probably add another 2 liters per 100 here in Dunedin to those figures.

Yeah the new Golf's are very good looking, even the previous shape was. I'm still not sure I like the front of the new 1 series personally. Is it just me or has there been some really awesome looking cars released circa the last 12 months? There also seems to have been a massive leap forward in power to litres per 100km in the last 12 months or so as well. Put it this way, a B 180 uses 6.2 per 100, the AMG 45 uses 6.9 per 100. It's like the new X5 25d as well, 5.2 litres per 100kms on a 2 ton car lol.

You're taking the piss right?
-
Yeah I can get around the mid to low 5's on the open road on the 320d also. It averages about 6.5-7.0 but then again, this is all city driving and in we live at the top of Dunedin, if it was a flat city I'd expect it be around 6 per 100 city.

Gunshot wedding it. Goto registry office now. Do the deal & then tell everyone. Buy a keg and a few bots of wine and have a few over on Saturday. Cost you less than 500 notes & then you keep the car.

I'm not too sure to be honest, that said if you are buying new you have a 3 year 100,000km warranty, free servicing, free WOF, free vehicle washing for the term that you own the car. There's some piece of mind there, after that, there's always the aftermarket warranties which I would insist on.

It's one of those cars you REALLY have to go and see and drive to appreciate IMO. The 96k price tag is off putting, but I can advise that there's a hell of alot of tech in this machine, it's super safe, super quick and all going well, super reliable. They actually have solid pistons like a diesel as 26 P.S.I from the Turbo... They're great when you want to clown around and drive quick, but they are also docile and very comfortable when in comfort mode. I actually think the A 45 should be diagnosed with Schizophrenia lol.

Thanks guys. Just a quick question, I've never had my bimmersport forums remember my user/pass wheather it be on iOS or Windows?

Designed by the same guy that designed the SLS. Had it again today. It does grow on you. I can't understand how they can get that much power and it returns 6 l per 100kms. The noise is epic. The performance is mind blowing.

Damned salesman!

The merk is a little more practical with the two extra doors and is quicker to 100 than the BMW, these are quite different IMO. Launch control is a piece of piss, no buttons, just foot on brake, foot flat on pedal, release brake and hold on.
-
Ooo, I dunno, it's not the best looking from the back but from the front I think it looks good. Supposedly the most powerful 4 cylinder petrol production car and the A class is now the safest car in the world? As an engineering exercise they've pulled it off IMO.

Visit My Website I'm completely blown away by it. It corners like nothing else & there is so much power and torque every where. In manual or sport mode it barks like a dog on the up shifts which are absolutely instant!

This tread is teaming with brilliance, especially that Blue GT Corolla Hatch. I'm afraid I have to bring this thread down hill now because this below was my first car, 82' Pulsar EXA (not the actual car) It had the critical pop up headlights and the back seat was so small, you had to wind both front windows down so either leg of the girl of the week could fit out either side. It was fitted with a fashionable home made TURBO badge on the back. How many here have gone on TradeMe to look for examples of their first car for sale after reading through this thread???

VX Landcruisers, Landcruiser Prado's, Toyota Surf's e.t.c However, not so much the Surf's but those above are like literally driving boats.
-
Haha, looked like it had more torque than a politician!
-
Oohh yes, it's comparable to secret weapons to the cold war IMO.

I just sold mine on TradeMe, for some reason I've ended up with two, mine sold for $1.50!

Surely that's not a factory kit?

The worst colour in the world. WTF were they thinking? And LHD? Surely the USA knows that there are other countries in the world that aren't LHD? Personally, I'd rather a previous model M50d
