When I researched the problem I too always came up with that valve. A fuel pump might be beneficial but I dont think it will solve your problem as a faulty fuel pump surely wouldnt cause a car to have trouble only during a hot start would it? Who knows, its an annoying little fault aint it!?

Hey guys, A mate of mine has a M10 318i that is having a few starting issues at the moment and Im not too mechanically minded enouhg to give him a diagnosis. So I was wondering if someone can help find what the problem is. What happens is when the car is cold you have to crank the engine over and over until it finally starts up but pours out black smoke.. It is fine when the car is warm and go to start it but usually only on the second try it does, but if you leave it to cool down for a few mintutes its a bitch to try start again. From what i could understand when being told about it, he has changed the fuel filter, ignition leads, injectors, checked AFM and Dizzy cap and rotor and said they seemed fine. Anyone have any ideas? It would be much appreciated. Cheers

All depends mate, real suede or decent alcantara is quite costly, you can use macrosuede which is pretty much just as good for about $40 a metre, and then you gotta buy the glue and it depends what a few hours of your time is worth..

So Im just trying to set up my new laptop with all the programs I need for uni etc. So have been downloading all the Cad programs and 3d modelling programs I need which is sweet but the one I am now stuck with and cant seem to find a copy anywhere is a decent version of Photoshop.. CS2 or higher. So what I am wanting to know and yes its a bit naughty but does anyone have a copy and a code crack for it? Much appreciated!

So my steering wheel is looking a little tatty now, and is looking pretty worn out. So I was looking at getting a replacement one by getting the same kind but just a mint one. But I thought If I was going to go to that much trouble I might aswell get a cooler one insted. At the moment I have a 3-spoke 'sports' steering wheel (Similar to the ones that came in earlier E34's) But on my steering wheel the Airbag warning light is actually on the steering wheel itself rather than in the speedo unit. I am looking to replace the wheel with either one of these wheels posted below. What I am wanting to know is if it is possible to fit them even though I dont have a dash Airbag light or would I need to get a different speedo unit that has one or just dont bother at all?

I too sit on the fence in that respect Nick. I dont have a spoiler at the moment but Im thinking about getting one, but the only one I'd have is the M3 one. I like the look of it with no spoiler almost equally at having a spoiler. If only there was a way i could be able to attach it and remove it as I feel like it without having to drill holes or damage anything. But i dont think looking at the cost of it as a deciding factor. It would only cost like $300 to paint and fill the holes in the bootlid and it would make quite a dramatic difference to the line of the car. I think Im going to keep a eye out for a spoiler anyway just for a change. As someone said already it kind of completes the kit, I love the clean look of having no spoiler too. So I voted remove.

Yeah I am lucky I didnt end up worse off. I mean if he really wanted my car I would have handed over the keys rather than cop a beating. But the bit I was most impressed with was that the petrol station was quite busy and no one came over to help and stop what was going on and it was pretty obvious that it wasnt a friendly chat... I mean when I floored the gutless bitch out of there I wouldnt have hesitated in running on of them over on the way out but in all honesty I really cant be bothered dealing with another panel beater doing a sh*t job. I just think its a shame you know, sure every city has crime, just keep it in south Auckland, like I have lived for periods of time in both Herne Bay and St Marys Bay and have never had anything like this happen before the only bad thing I have heard about was the dude who got stabbed at that party the next street over from my old one in Herne Bay. There just scum and they know it and there was certainly no chance in hell I was going to try take on 3 guys, last time I tried to take one on I ended up getting run over and in hospital so I thought I'd be different and avoid that this time. The worst part was proberbly being chased though with them screaming out thier windows and I was just trying to get away, yuck feeling.
