Ahh Im going to this already, Although I thought it was on tonite? Went to the Eagle vs. Shark one last week with emma, such a awesome movie was in hysterics, these things are awesome to go to
-
Some early E36's came with it too, dont know if you can still use the ones from E36's though, I did once toy with the idea of a E36 steering wheel but I dont think many people have bothered to try so gave up pretty easily
-
Whoa! $500+ I may be interested where you source them from also at the right price. BTW, what kinda steering wheel is this? Thats a SE steering wheel. Id proberbly go for a nice Mtech 1 Steering wheel they are still quite easily obtainable. But I have seen some people put in a certain E34 steering whell which I think looks real good, Think it may have been in one of Gus' cars if anoyne knows which steering wheel it was I'd like to know!

Man that car is hot! Makes me want to get a E34! good to see there are some nice ones still around huh. Congrats dude, poor E30 though

My seats were in a worse state than yours are and mine came out pretty mint, heres a link to before and after pictures etc Click me

You could get away with just retriming the ripped bolsters, I was quoted $500 to retrim all the seat bolsters on my front seats in matching leather, so its not really that expensive if it ocncerns you that much.

I know what you mean, thats why they arnt on the list of possibilities haha, they feel skittish around corners and the accelerator feels strange, you have to put your foot down and wait a few seconds until the car realises you want to move forward

In terms of ecconomy, yes it would be the better choice and BMW make some damn good diesel engines I must say yet theres always to nice roar of a V8 thats all too tempting
-
Yea I know, I think once he drives on he will be more willing to spend more money, I know I would. I know he wouldnt touch a diesel though, even though performance wise they are quite good but yeah he belives in the idea of if your going to get a car you might aswell get the best of its kind. I'll get him to look at the links you gave me, I think hes test driving a 4.4 on Wednesday through someone he knows so will have to see how it goes. Cheers
-
Yeah I tried to tell him that a 4.4 X5 thats NZ new would be near impossible to find at that price. Ive driven many a X5 in every form they come in and yes even a manual version! I like the 3.0 petrol but its never as nice as the v8 version. My dad is always been loyal to american cars and the odd porsche i know if he went and drove a X5 it would change his mind and I think he knows it also. However it might not be the easiest thing to find but its not impossible. I'll soldier on haha Thanks for the help guys

I dont really often txt while driving, but have been guilty of touch txting while driivng then reading txts when stopped at the lights.. but I mean if its important enough to have to try drive and txt I genrally just call and chuck it on speaker and have the phone in my lap.

James, If its looked after well by the previous owner/s it should be fine, they go forever with regular servicing. Mine is nearing close to 200,000kms and have almost owned it a year and never had a single problem besides a flat battery needing a jump start once or twice.

My dad is looking for a new car this year, and on his list which he has narrowed down to two types of cars - '05+ Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 - X5 4.4 So I have been trying to find him a X5 over the Jeep just because. Has to be V8 and in a dark colour. Preferbly, Black, Dark Blue, Dark Green etc Obviously it being NZ new and all that carry on is preferble over a import, my dad is old school and into that. The budget he will spend on a X5 he says is around 30 - 40k (but said he'd spend more on a Jeep just because he's biasd toward them) , a bit of a strech to find a V8 one I know which is what I told him but I know there are some around at those prices. I dont know if anyone on here has a X5 but if anyone hears of one comming up for sale, drop me a PM or leave a message under this. Cheers

That is such a awesome idea

Its not me in the picture and my family's yacht is moored in there. But I was just kidding about the ugly friends, so brings me to say, sorry Will!
-
All fixed. Needed a complete new battery. $200 not cool
-
Car looks good man. Just a shame about your ugly friends

Thats what someone else told me, but I mean, all the display lights come on and the radio comes on before I go to turn it on fully, and my alarm usually goes nuts when my battery is dead. But I may be wrong. I have someone comming to have a look/ fix it in a few hours. I'll let you know the result of that, but if anyone else have any other ideas they are very welcome.

So I have been away overseas and in Coromadle for the last few weeks which I decided to leave my E30 at home during this time. I thought I could trust my mum and sister to start my car most days and take it for a drive so no wierd things happen. I get home this afternoon and try starting it up and find it wont start. Its not the battery but when I try to turn the car over ticking sound as if the distributor rotor is jammed or something along those lines. Im yet to check this, but will have a look once Ive posted this. But just wanted to know if anyone has had a similar experience and would know what the problem is? Need urgent help as getting to work tommorow could be interesting. Cheers
