Cheers guys, Yeah i was only intending to use OS X tiger. Im only after a G3 because its my mates one and its mint as and he selling it dirt dirt cheap. So I will live with that, and see if I can get my head around how to work a mac after only ever using a pc, and if its all good I'll look at a G5 next year. But yeah my sisters thought it was a good idea to get a apple laptop so shes getting a G4 from somewhere so might just steal that from her.... thanks for heads up about motherboards etc

So I need another laptop for uni... the one I have just doesnt cut it and my home computer is less than portable. Im a architecture student so needs to run programs like archi cad and sketch up, photoshop etc. I just need word processors and the odd design program. Ive been looking at Apple laptops (mainly iBook G3, kinda already bought one) just for the infamous reliabilty I hear so much of about macs Of course it would get new RAM put it to the most it can take etc. Might look at getting OS X installed, just wanted to know from some other mac users think or know about the G3 ibook or if anyone knows much about this OS X? much apreciated, chur

Its most likely the 530i had the active steering option, which of course makes steering much nicer and means you dont have to turn the wheel so much while turning etc

I have a Mongoose M80, which is a 5-star system. Its aprently one of the best on the market at the moment, and it obviously does the job as I still have my car, but then again who would steal a E30?

Was attempting to put in my new dizzy rotor yesturday and could only get 1 of the 3 hex screws off as the other two are so worn that rather than in the middle be hexagonal shape they are just curcular, making my allen keys useless to get them off. I tried a bigger size allen key, pliers, CRC then pliers again, I gave up just shy of reaching for a hammer and blunt messages to people demanding answers hah But yeah what im asking is if there is a way to get them out relatively easily? If I went and got some screw extractors will they do the job? Cheers for the help guys

I there, just after a Distributor Cap (which must be in very good condition) and a set of Foglights (working obviously and doesnt cost me any limbs) both for a '89 FL E30 325i Cheers

Yea I didnt so much find it as a let down but more of a bit of a suprise as it was different to how I thought it would be, it could be due to the clutch being F**ked but I found it to be really light (In comparison to a E46 M3) and so much easier to drive, hell a woman could even drive one. But all and all a bloody wicked car, now I just need to get some more driving time with it, I only got a small drive.. Yeah as far as I know the M3 will be in the showroom for the next few weeks, not sure if they are offering test drives just yet but there will no doubt be a waiting list for a test drive even! There were a few people in the showroom there to see it as I was driving it in which was a bit of a supprise to have a audience whilst maneuvering around the showroom haha.. Oh and yeah it is the same M3 used down in taupo, Ive heard many a story already about people at works experiences with it around the track, needless to say clutch needs replacing and new tires!!
-
Well, today I arrive at work and see the new M3 arrive. So I made everything work in my favour to take it for a spin. So I did, even before everyone else that works there that day haha So I guess not everyone has been lucky enough to drive one or even see one in person yet, it is deffinatly cool. Looks a lot more agrressive in person esspeically when I park it next to a regular 335i coupe. I guess I am one of the youngest people in the country to drive it even which is pretty cool. I did take a few pictures off my phone but arnt the best but I'll put them up anyway. After I got back from my drive I looked in the boot to find a replacement clutch for it already!! But yeah I put it in the showroom this afternoon so if anyone is around JC BMW go in and have a look/ drool. Anyway thought I'd just have a bit of a brag

Whats in your glove box would be a bit of a laugh though
-
Usually nothing else goes in my boot besides the toolkit and spare wheel etc, all the factory stuff. But lately its been home to my building plans and uni text books and my work uniform

Very nice man! Treat her the way you would treat any good looking girl, on a leash. Keep out of harms way, stay away from shiny things at auto accesory shops!

4-door M3 = cool. As far as I know is the 4-door version of the M3 will have the same headligts and grill as the coupes which I guess will make it stand out so much more than a regular E90 sedan. It will proberbly end out being one of those things people will do in 15-20 years time putting coupe parts on a sedan E90 like a M3 sedan like people already do with silvias - 200sx. Assuming to do this would be easy, but could easily be difficult.

Ive seen you a few times, Was behind you once at the lights in a 745 and another time at the mobil on wairau road- was just leaving as you pulled up
-
A pre-facelift has chrome bumpers and smaller back lights The facelift has plastic bumpers and larger back lights. Those two things should be the most obvious cosmetic differences, but there are much more

F**ken funny britney spears fan Shes a HUMAN!!

Yeah you can de-badge its not like you cant just put the badge back on if you change your mind, mines off and I'll proberbly put it back on soon if I think it needs to be on there.

Just the one, and the service light thing that plugs into the SI board
-
My service lights have never worked in my car and today I took the cluster out to see if it was blown bulbs or what. I couldnt seem to find anything in there that could possibly illuminate the service indicator and on the SI board in front of the batteries there appears to be a ling of metal prongs which I'm assuming a set of service lights would be plugged into it. (Have a picture if required) So what im after is that part or maybe a whole SI board if no one will sell that part seperate. I also noticed a few LED's are missing on the back which I might aswell replace at the same time. Drop me a line if you have any of these parts up for offer Cheers.

That and a series of holes in a line right across the bootlid which doesnt come out with meths haha
-
I was just lazy and got a whole new bootlid in the same colour as my car, I pulled the badge off my old bootlid that I'm thinking of putting on. I only replaced the bootlid because it had heavy oxidisation and crazy crack through the paint work. The bootlid I picked up from Ray was mint yet it had some of the markings left from a badge that was on it and some uber sexy bullet hole decals which I got rid of both with meths and elbow grease
-
I did this on Thursday just gone, I like it De-badged and with the badge. I also got rid of the spoiler aswell. Here are the before and after pictures

That looks like its in real good nick and a mint price, if I wasnt going overseas for new years I would be keen. Let me know if it doesnt sell. Which I doubt you will have much problem selling it
