-
not as much as I thought it would be, gotta luv the forum sponsors this is definitely going on my to do list for this year
-
a single project or showroom thread would also help us see the progress of changes that are made instead of flicking through a few different threads to see what's changed

I've been considering this for a while, so you've just sealed the deal for me if you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost?
-
LOL awesome work mate's are looking at me wondering why I was laughing so hard
-
what about black hubs? could look alright eh
-
had a look at my Autosure booklet and it excludes any M cars I got lucky, when I bought my car through the dealer and took out the mechanical warranty, I got it for 3 years with no excess ... from what I've heard you would be hard pressed to find a no excess policy these days

one of the marketing managers here has a Vitesse that he's been restoring don't see many of them around
-
I'm guessing red angel eyes wouldn't go down very well with the cops would they?
-
this was the reason why the heater in my e36 was rubbishthermostat wasn't working properly, so engine wasn't heating up properly now it's mint as, the engine warms up nice and quick and I stay toasty warm in the winter

it means, "move over, I'm speeding!!" hahamy mate works for a roading firm (wont name which firm in case I get him in some sort of trouble) and he has a work vehicle with the yellow lights on the top he often puts them on to avoid getting stuck in slow traffic as people tend to move over for him when the lights are going lol
-
hope you have some punishments sorted out if he fails to do this have a good one
-
cheers, learnt something new today yea my mate's one is an UK import, manual '89 535i he had to get quite a bit of rust removed from behind the rear bumper pretty basic spec except it has an AC Schnitzer body kit and wheels fitted
-
lol my mate is selling his manual 535i e34 for $5k not even an is model
-
it's as easy as doing oil changes try this guide - http://www.dvatp.com/bmw/diy/coolant_flush/
-
that's why most of the stag do's for my mate's have been weekends away somewhere
-
yea probably just condensation from the aircon if it was coming from the cooling system then it would be slightly discoloured and would have a slight odour too because it would have antifreeze in it
-
it's a once off special occassion, not like I'm doing it every weekend lolI get drunk maybe once a year and have 1 or 2 beers once a month ... not exactly a drinking problem
-
I knew I had a pic somewhere on my computer ... photo taken 9:30am Friday morning stag do didn't end until some ungodly hour on Sunday morning lol took a few days to get over that hangover [edit] it's not me, I aint even engaged yet
-
when we did this to my mate, we made a day of it and got him to do all sorts of random stuff in the dress ... we got him to do: photo with at least 5 strangers at Wellington Train Station buy lotto ticket (we conveniently took him to the busiest lotto shop we could find lol) buy alcohol from bottle store buy fruit from random fruit and vege shop on side of motorway beer bong every oportunity we had lol
-
get him to dress up in a lovely summer dress, bright colours preferable lol if you can do that, then set the task of him having to get photos taking with complete strangers in random locations
-
mine required a full overhaul ... $3,000 worth (luckily my car is under warranty) ... probably cheaper to replace with a good working 2nd hand box if you can do the work yourself but yea try resetting the computer first like Brent said, have read that it solves the issue for some people
-
mine is on the top of the back window, one of the very few stickers on my car (only others are the wof label, rego, and oil service sticker) has held up on the window very nicely, not even one sign of it starting to come off ... been on there for a year now at least and has survived been washed every second weekend I wish I was a bit more patient putting it on though, it curves down a bit much on the right side lol
-
yea I use microfibre clothes to dry it and never had streaks or fluff left on the car my cleaning kit is: lambs wool mitt Meguires nxt gen car wash bunch of microfibre clothes (I think they are Mothers and Kenco brands) ... usually only need 2, maybe 3 of them to dry the car Meguires window cleaner ... and I use a special microfibre cloth to clean the window (Kenco one's came in a pack of 3 ... 2 for the car body and 1 for the window) just using that stuff I get comments from my mates like "looks like you've given it it's daily polish" or "move your showroom condition car out of the drive so I can get my car out" and that's without waxing / polishing when I feel really enthusiastic I'll go over the car with a Meguires quick detailer (usually once a month) every 6 months will give it a wax and polish using the Meguires 3 step crystal pack (scratch remover, wax, polish) as others have mentioned, wash it when it's cool to touch (ie not baking in the sun) and try to wash it in the shade or on cloudy days also dry it asap!

yea it was hard for me as 90% of my friends smoke and every time they lit up I felt like I was being left out it really was a test of my patience and willpower 4 years clean for me
