  1. A very nice AC Schnitzer 740i. In Kilbirnie. plate ACS740 . Was driving so couldn't snap a pic sorry! Does ACS even happen on 7 series? Maybe it was just a replica or something? :(

Nathan's. though I think he might have sold it. was after big money iirc. nice car tho

  2.

I can't see it happening to be honest, my old E39 540i was low 6's to 100kph (factory claimed) and probably about 6 seconds to 96kph (60mph as quoted on that advert) I can't see how a Subaru Forrestry with 161kw could be quicker than my old E39 by nearly a second to 100kph let alone my E65 which doesn't hang around if you give it the jandal. I'd like to see it do 0-96kph in 5.3 seconds in real life

Yeah, not sure about the forestry claim, but the RSB Was rated to 206kw factory, however had a hybrid primary turbo and some trickery to reduce vod. BD5 is a significantly lighter car than an e39. My RSB was quicker than both e34 540s I've owned.

  3. Subaru engines don't like being thrashed or driven hard particularly the turbo ones ,- they are just not up to it- fine for nanny drivers

Rubbish. I did 120ks of thrashing the tits off my RSB. they can handle being driven hard just fine. What they don't like is sub par fuel and a poor servicing regime.

  4. They are only heaps of crap if they haven't been looked after. Find one that's been serviced properly, with the right grade of oils, and they are as reliable as anything else. The twin turbos have their flaws, but they can be dialed out well enough. I'd own another in a heartbeat.

  5. Fully independent soft Roaders will never be able to out perform a truck with solid axles when traversing terrain that isn't a formed road. Basic physics.

I once took a corolla station wagon to the top of devils gate. Doesn't mean it was any good off road.
