There was an excellent doco on TV some time back on this very report. Conspiracy? I dont believe a word of it.

Yeah but you'd expect that

Yep + crap plastic.About 20 gentle mins with each grade of w&d-use a straight back & forward motion-not circular. Preferably use a rubber backed sanding block. W&d makes sense when you think about it-after all you do it when painting your car & look how that comes up.

Sadly its done all the time

What years your car.I understand the OEM 01 is a good upgrade.Someone here did it recently-there is a thread somewhere. IIRC Cost around $1200. The Umnitza ones are apparently high quality according to Bimmerfest ops. The Aussie Eurolights ones are chinese I think. BY the way did you know you can switch the lights aspect from LHD to RHD-look on top centre of your lights & you'll see an adjuster-just a bit of useless info LOL You can restore your cloudy lights-just doing mine as we speak -would love an upgrade but cant justify the cost ATM. Wet & dry 400 grit, then 800,then,1500,then 2000 Then polish with at least 2 stages of cutting compound & finish off with Plastix. I do it while I'm watching TV(its more interesting)

Thanks for all the helpful comments guys. This was offered as a trade so not something I'd keep (unless it was tons of fun) I'm not going for it -not worth nearly what the guy wants & 3 owners in under 3 years has to make you wonder. Again thanks for your help.

Would front & rear sway bars not be more beneficial than strut braces. -
