Ordered woo hoo.Car currently in the shop for a little maintainence so will be talking to Gary there to get his opinion. As much as I'd like too I dont want to get to carried away at this early stage so I'm thinking just some gentle head work particularly since the motor is nice & tight. The 2.8 option will give me something to aspire to Keep the input coming guys-its immensely helpful-thanks.

+1 also.Altho mines a 325 the auto was s**t.Completely different car now with 5spd & lower ratio diff.

Putting the bullshit aside its a pretty cool looking car. Is it just me or is 11k pretty steep for a 96 528 or does the touring command this sort of premium. PS I dont think Turners price estimates are worth much-too many variables.

I doubt you could buy an 00 msport for much under $16k so I wouldnt read too much into it as far as yours is concerned. Moral of the story is: sell private.

Every e38 & 39 I've owned have done this so I thought it was the norm until I got a 96 recently which doesnt default. BMW strangeness maybe.

Depending on the year(post 96?),the pdc should default to the 'on'position when you start the car. Dont work if car not running.

Also,not NZ new-imported from SA in 02-possibly by the first owner looking at his surname. Ray I take it from your comment you have seen the car?
