Props to hearing someone purchasing decent speakers for once - Componants! Aim your tweeters towards the windscreen for a less harsh sound. http://www.audio-apex.com/ - the good sh*t (if you need anything else...) O yeah, and what brand did you end up getting?
-
Legend has it the New Zealand government has set up one of the best hire purchase fine repayments in the world You can drag it out nearly as long as you want to*Go to wherever you pay fines and ask about it. *within reason.

Hi Deano, Are these 'cross compatible' with any E30 struts? or E21 only. Assume the size you're after is 51mm? O yeah... your car isn't green is it?
-
Nice car man, Clean as - good base car to work on.
-
Cool thanks for the reply. Yeah well, whenever you get a fibreglass kit naturally you expect to have to cut and play around with it for it to get a bang on fit. Yeah Damo, get some pics up of the wheels (A vid of your car would be nice aswell... At a track of course )

Nice clean car, Like the rear apron and side skirts. General consensus is 16"s look the best on E30's - I've got 17"s on my project car (came with them) and IMO they look too big for it. Considered colour matching the front and rear bumpers - would sharpen it it a bit.
-
Neg on the rear lights, one's got a big chip in it and the other I'm using to fix the painted black ones on the project car. Sorry about that.
-
Unfortunately those were taken out when the car was crashed - I've got mangled up bits of them.... I do however have 1x right hand side set of pre FL headlights.
-
Check your PM's. Negative on the pedal box, Using it for my swap - sorry.
-
The kit does appear to be aliluya, not a bad combination at all. Whats the kit made of? Much playing around to get it to fit properly? From the rear it looks to have a bit of E30 M3 in it
-
Twin tip should fit no problems given that there is a cutout on the rear valence. How cheap you thinking... Only cost around $100 for a new one (just to shed some light for you)
-
Nice transplant. Notice the people who do transplants of different car makes just seem to tint the windows, put some decent wheels on then leave it at that! I'm sure our resident rotor-head approves!

I too, Suffer from rear window not working properly syndrome. Like you, My case was diagnosed at a young age in the cars ownership - two days to be exact. Rear windows work from the centre console, but rear switches on door cards don't do anything, they are lit up though. Motor seized in the 318i on the drivers side, would come to life again after some playing around with an allen key - then it stopped again. (Another 'feature' that some dude paid $600 at auction for my written off car..)
-
Gus, Where did you pick that up from? - that include pressure plate and additional bits and p's? I know not to go to a BMW dealer and ask now.... I don't have $700.

Hey all, Parting up the parts car... Nearly all items available. 4 good doors. Glass (minus the front windscreen) Most interior seals. Interior pieces, all in good condition. Tan carpet + Tan Cards + Tan rear seats - can supply front seats at no extra cost as they are fairly rooted (just needs a recover) Heater switches, controls etc.. All available. Seatbelts. Boot carpet. Some (read SOME) engine bits available, Gearbox is taken for own personal use.... All steering/suspension componants not available - using to fix damaged suspension/steering on my other 320i. PM me with any request, I'd like to offer bits to you folk before going to nasty trademe. Thanks, James

Thanks for the reply, Sorry to rack your brain... More questions. How thick is the piping you've used (and dia) and what material (mild steel?) also what sort of welds are best suited for this application?
-
Thanks Graeme, In that case I'm specifically after a electric window loom (from the centre console to the plug behind the glovebox) for a 86 SA E30 (I assume any e30 of this year would work)
-
Nice manifold, Thinking of doing something similar myself if I go down the route of turboing the m20. Most manufacturer's warranty is void if you heatwrap - increases the liklihood of cracking, however since it's custom shouldn't be any probs. How thick is the flage to the head and to the turbo?
-
My 14"s have BBS stamped on them. As far as I am aware all basketweaves were made by BBS.. Unless BMW made thier own?
-
We lifted out the m20b20 engine out through the top, car didn't come with a bonnet so saved me taking that off! The next engine is going to be lifted up into the engine bay due to all the lower suspension and steering needs to come off anyway, nice and easy - grandma's house has a pit, really handy. BMW put the engine in through the underside, so should you. (if you have the available means!) Either way isn't too hard.

Hi, After the wiring that goes from the centre console window switches to where ever it goes.... (to the plug box on the left hand side I assume?, or directly to the windows?) I assume someone knows more than me on this... Haven't had time to check where they run on the fronts. I'm putting electric windows into the back of the car (came with wind ups) I've got the motors + mech and the door panel already had the plug for the motor and the switch - So it obviously was an option back in 1986 for all electrics. Thanks for the help in advance.
-
I've heard the products themselves are alright, but not as good as what else is out there. Not sure about the service though.
-
PM'd on a number of bits and pieces.
-
Cheers Gus, got them off the parts car.. (1984 baby) Not a spot of rust unlike those dodgy M325's The chrome trim isn't too hard either!
