Bloody car fires as of late, I'm absolutely obsessed about shielding any cables I play with now with loads of heatshrink. Better safe than sorry. How did your fire start 318i Turbo?

Also bare in mind these 'kits' that the Americans love so much tend to be overpriced and more often than not you can find something 100 times better for less. The HP claims there probably involve the vehicle running on AV gas or some other thing that wouldn't normally exist in standard driving conditions. Infact it doesn't tell anything about the car that this was run on.... Take every HP rating with a grain of salt. On numerous forums the concensus on Lowendesign tends to be 'Don't bother dealing with them.' - Dodgy products and dodgy service.

I know a guy with a good 320i (M20, E30 BMW) engine if interested. Theres plenty of info all over the net regarding M50 swaps, no need for overpriced whale.

IMO look to be of low quality 'Power Import' - hardly a heard of name... prob will crack in a few months... However they could be great and just not with the Remus price tag, So yeah... Try the American forums for advice?

Does writting off an E30 make you go all crazy in the head and go nuts with your next? I've got a project car thats underway.... Completely different from what I'd consider doing with my first one.. A guy on e30zone.co.uk is putting a E39 M5 engine in his... Some dude in Scandinavia has got a BMW V12 in his... The possibilities seem to be fairly endless with that engine bay!

With a larger throttle body, you'd need larger piping, going to a larger AFM... But the restriction on these motors is (apparently) the intake ports - Wouldn't a port and polish be a better option to improve airflow? No offence sic*, but unlike Japanese engines from the exhaust and intake side of things these are quite good from the factory - meaning the money you spend on them doesn't offer big gains. Btw - 323i injectors should be more than ample should you go with a larger throttlebody + all of the above stated.

For that price I'd expect the rest of the car less the engine... O well, beggars can't be choosers

Hi guys, Sorry no longer selling these as I've decided on re-covering them. These will replace the black and white vinyl seats of the 320i. The black and white ones (including rear seats will be up on trademe later this week) O btw, these are also sports seats. Professionally recovered by the looks of. With two minor ciggy burns.

The ones I just picked up (BMW Sports seats, Not recaros - BMW SPORTS SEATS... Recaro didn't actually make them..) from a 88 320i are definately fimer than the older ones out of my old car... So very comfy.... If anything I'd get them covered in leather.

I'd pay just under $2k for a good condition 88 320i... Good to see I'm not the only one who feels early E36's cost way to much, especially in correlation with the rest of the world.. Here in NZ there seems to be a huge step in price between the E30's and the 36's.. where elsewhere there would be a smooth transition. Admitably, the E36 definately looks like a newer car.. But why get the early 'tester' E36's prone to countless problems when you can have the best of the E30s I think the E30s fell in price due to everyone realising (depsite thier striking good looks ) how old they really were!

Ratchet with correct sized socket then turn isn't it? - from memory.. (btw - I can e-mail you the haynes repair manual with this procedure)

Just to add to Grant's post, Remember Tropical fish respond best due to the warmth from the lights. I don't have water on the inside of my lights, but bugs that somehow manage to get in there and die.

If you're fast enough you could beat the rain..... All of those e30's are rather good looking... Nice picking out Gus. 4 Doors are practical - consider how many people ever get in your car 2 Doors look sporty, but actually aren't any more sporty than a 4dr. Mtech2 (any Mtech...) is a pain in the ass to find a complete kit for, so you're better off looking for one with it pre-installed. Why the sudden no non-Fl Gus?
