Blown headgasket does sound like it, our old E36 316i did the same. The other thing it could be is a cracked radiator/split hose etc Hope its the latter, or be prepared to fork out a lot of money, unfortunately headgaskets are expensive work.

Nope, I'm off to CTC in Hamilton

Resize pics to 800x600 or less then upload again, they'll work.
-
Funny you should mention that haha, mine too. Another E30 common failure i guess...
-
Hmmm a little nicer than the sick pinto i had in mine haha. And a little quicker no doubt! Back to the BMW however, I picked it up from the panel shop this afternoon and am feeling good about not having foul key scratches on it .
-
Nice! Definitely some cortina love, unfortunately I had to let mine go It was an ugly hunk of s**t but I loved it all the same haha.

Picked it up from the panelshop . Nothing special, they did what the insurance said so thats allgood. Will definitely be doing more paint/panel work later to get it mint, but i'm stoked the scratches are gone

Get in touch with JK Southern Euro, I know Jon is selling some rears cheap on trademe, but he might have some cheap fronts as well

Sorry mate, the student loan only gives me $169 to live off, and I cant get the allowance... However theres a guy with a thread in the projects forum who might want that engine, under the 320i turbo thread..

I paid $1200 for the car.. I would love a 2.5, however I'm off to flight school starting next week so can't really afford to do anything much to it at the moment (maybe if the current engine blows up ). Unfortunately due to being keyed its in the panel shop getting the right side re-sprayed at current, and it is in dire need of a new bonnet due to an infuriating crease in the front of it (from a minor "doh" moment at a roundabout a few weeks back). Eventual plans include possibly mtech1, definitely more low, and moar powaah. For now just trying to keep it tidy... Funny you say that about the bronzitbeige, it seems to get a love it or hate it type reaction from everyone, which is odd cos its hardly an "out there" colour haha.

Haha a tribute to MJ himself Yup, it sits a little lower now that the springs have settled, but I want the front lower (the 15s dont fill the gaurds as well as the 16s at the back). King springs, not sure what to be honest haha. Certainly not gonna get a Europlate, it just wouldnt look right with a white plate.

Exactly. Also a good point, E30 indicators and tail-lights can be tough to see in some conditions already, so no reason to make it worse IMO. (Overcast/rainy days where its hard to see other cars and you should have your lights on, you can barely tell my tails are on and its kinda scary lol)

You missed out the "each other" part... To be fair facebook doesnt lie, and Brook is right. Some decent looking cars..
-
You dont want to know what circle jerk is, and i think the name is a piss-take. I hope so. (Otherwise the whole crew is just a bunch of tossers....)
-
Thought it might be about time I posted a few more quick pics, some complete with 4x4 ride height, some I think were just after i dropped it (has settled a little more now).

Will have to see this when I'm in Hams lol. Seems the car scene up there is a little more interesting than down here..
-
First 4 words of post. lol. Edit: Cant count..

Tried any of the forum sponsors? Theres a few wreckers yards round auckland... post a WTB thread too if you really want one, they arent particularly hard to come by .

If you just keep blowing motors up "working with what you have" then you will probably end up with no money and no motor... Better off either doing it properly, or getting the B25 and then working on the turbo idea, doing your research, amassing the proper stuff to do it right, and then making a sick turb'd b25 with enough RWHP to keep you satisfied. You'd be glad you did it I'm sure!
-
Looks mint as. Definitely does beat a sticker..
-
Also a B25 is cheaper than a cert for a turbo, and your a lot more likely to get away with not certing it Not that I condone mods without certs, just saying...
-
B25 is what? $500ish? You kidding right? This has to be a troll surely...
-
Chuck some fake wood sticker wrap on them

Why waste a good beer just to cook a chicken?
