  1. Contact Retro Products, they are the Remus distributor in NZ. I might see if I can stop by and get some pricing on bits from them.
  2. Is that your upgrade path to the 540 Andrew. Flog your Dad's car while he's not looking. It's a nice looking one. Brent's E28 would be a good car too. You just have to fight him for it now. The manuals have higher k's because they are so much more fun to drive Emma.
  3. Hey Brent, you've nearly got as many cars as the Sultan of Brunei!
  4. I might be able to make it. Where are they exactly? They don't look like genuine Remus though, just Remus tips on some other box. Here are the real E38 pipes. You can get hold of me on 0275 627 476 or [email protected] Cheers. I need an excuse to go and visit Als Mufflers about my next mods.
  5. It all counts though. If he spends a little bit each time on improving the entire system. He will have something better than what he started with. 1% increase in my car is not very much either. Arse Dyno won't notice, a better induction noise with a little more power is still a good thing. Then there is the debate on whether you actually get a 10 degree drop in temperature anyway. Maybe, as our equipment in roadside cabinets in Oz had an internal temperature rise of 20 degrees (different system, I know, but the theory is relevant) The rumoured 10% for Powerchipping my car for $1100 is not a great return on investment either. 22kW is bugger all and I will only notice it for the first week of driving and want more. So a flat panel K&N delivers better bang for my buck than the Powerchip. Photo if the top setup is nice too! Have fun.
  6. I hope you are bringing your car to the JDC Pukekohe day on the 13th. You should get to see a collection of E30's in various forms there.
  7. The last time for a set fitted an balanced $1100 for Goodyear F1's 235/45/17. The Yoko A048R I've just fitted, $1800, decent Michelin & Pirelli's will cost around the same. Sorry, to go to 18" add $1000 per set. I'm also keen to see these Rare mags.
  8. Happy Birthday Tim I'll shout you a  in a few weeks.
  9. I've never had M20 head.$20? Sorry, I couldn't resist. No idea. Good luck.
  10. Environmental factors: Loose nut behind wheel.
  11. I'm with you Paul. I think that before you are allowed to drive a car. You should have to learn to ride a bike and drive around for a year.
  12. Got no idea, but it's in a carpark!
  13. Speed Kills, play it safe, drive a Ford. (part 1)
  14. I left my engine around here somewhere.
  15. 62 Morris Minor 84 Honda Accord 74 LJ Torana Moto Guzzi V50 Suzuki GSXR 250 BMW K100LT Hillman Imp Landrover Disco EF Falcon VT S VTII Supercharged S VW Beetle Convertible (the proper Beetle) 540iS AU Falcon plus, Deb's Honda Civic That's all I can remember.
  16. Seems a bit (read a lot) high for me. Gus is right look around a bit. There are plenty out there and for heaps cheaper.
  17. Considering you can get 550hp+ from an M10 turbo. I'd say it's academic Gus. It really depends on who does your work and how good he is. Logically, more valves etc, should be better, but is it. Forced induction, so flow is less important than NA.
  18. Bring it to the dyno next week-end. Well done anyway. Glad to hear you like it. Lighten the flywheel next. Then you will get a quicker acceleration.
