Thanks Mark. You'll have to wait another 2 weeks to see my new gear-knob, as the idiots at McMillans imported the standard 6 speed one. I took in my car, got them into it, to prove it was an M and gave them the chassis number and the still f@ck it up. :rambo: Was keen to get it in today, bastards!

Smoke should be associated with tyres, not lights.
-
Nice Mark. Well done.

Spagalimi's for the best Pizza. Cashmere fish shop for the best Crumbed Akaroa cod.
-
Correct, I've never driven an M1. I would like too.
-
I'm with you on the Ford front (I am trying to get rid of my company Ford as we speak). You'll note that of that list, only 1 is an American designed Ford. All the rest were done in England.
-
Good on you Paul. I might have to buy a Minardi shirt now. Wouldn't be the first time they've usurped an FIA president. Jean-Marie was the last to go this way. I still agree with Ferrari's stance.

Love that picture. Looks like the Fern pass leading into Bavaria. Drove it last year on the way to Neuschwanstein. I can also recommend the Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse too! www.grossglockner.at

That's great news for Peter. Outside of Ferrari, they are my next favourite team. They come up with great innovations, then the other teams copy them. :thumb:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...4557200650&rd=1 Are there any in NZ? I haven't seen one here.
-
I'd take them to Arrow wheels.
-
Don't blame the Nikasil regardless. NZ did not have a problem with this block. Cilk wurm is correct, our sulphur content was different.

Rob at Rapid is your man.

For our interest down here Marcel, what kind of lap-time does your beast do around the Ring? Personally, whenever I get there, I'll be happy with a time. It will be slower than Sabine in a van, I'm sure. On my next trip to Europe, I'll get there. http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/taxi.html

You lucky bastard Marcel! I am envious.
-
C'mon Gus. You haven't beaten the Limo on Grass, Dragstrip or Racetrack. Looking forward to hearing the new speakers though.
-
Added weight Gus. Ditch all the speakers and your car will go faster.

It wasn't a wear issue. they hadn't built tire walls capable of taking the loading. Interesting that the Bridgestone due to their manufacturing process are 6.5kg lighter than the Michelin and still coped.
-
I watched it. Not a great race, but the right result. This has been the most eventful GP season in years. Michelin deserve to get punished, scratches them off my list of tire choices this month. I'd hate to see it go bqack to one tire manufacturer again though. As when Pirelli pulled out. Bridgestopne got to supply whatever crap they felt like to every team. Michelin made them pick up their game and produce competitive compounds. Yes, the crowd were robbed. It is a shame that the Michlin runners didn't go out. I pick that Renault/Williams and McLaren could have run safely around at the 3 seconds per lap slower and finished ahead of Jordan. They are allowed 1 tire change, so at one of the stops, change your left rear and continue. As it happened in America, I'm sure there is a court case pending. Forza Ferrari!!!

OK Gus, Andrew, Tim, David or anyone else. I've ordered a new gearknob for my car. Will the old one fit someone elses? It's an E34. It does illuminate, however the wire broke. So it would take a bit of work to get it to light up again. Too lazy and I wanted an excuse to buy a new one. First in, first served. Oh, you'll have to wait until my new one arrives from Germany. :bounce:
-
I agree with Andrew partially. You are better getting driver training in your own car. But, you can never have too much training either. I'm negotiating with the boss to pay for this as our company does send us on driver training. Any excuse to thrash someone elses car.

Here is the real Dino 206SP. A GT40 beater at Le Mans. Well not that one, that's ours at Hoonapuna. F430 Spider is fantastic.
-
Sweet. I'll look into that one. FYI, I've just received the latest pricelist and the Ceramic brake package for the F430 is $32,000. Carbon Fibre seats in leather $9,800. That's a beast. The Italians know how make the sexiest cars.
-
My right rear is the same Gus. You can hear the clicking if you sit in the back. The motors seize up a bit if they are not used. Got air-con, the windows only get used to shout abuse or go through drive throughs. Will take it apart someday and fix.

Be nice. Don't worry about the envy Sudo. Keep the 318, it is cheap to run and it has been quite rightly pointed out that you'll need a road car. Don't go buying a 5 or 7 series if you don't want good bills. Racing is not cheap though. Start karting. Skip Formula Fords and go for the new Mini race class or Formula Toyota. But you'll need deep pockets for these. Have fun anyway. Karting is my favourite form of speed.
