  1. Given the comparison between US and NZ, even at local Automotive shows here in NZ, you will most certainly seen an American Muscle classed as 'Rare' and a Collectible sitting among the many others - I think the M coupe has a certain draw that really does make it above all the rest.. The fact we hardly see any rolling around the roads of NZ, say's something in itself. Given I can't tell the future, I would say by watching the increase of value to Bmw's that are now classed as 'old school' and 'rare' despite being more regularly produced than the M Coupe, there will most certainly be an increase in value after maybe the 25 year mark, as we have seen many other 'M' cars go down then up again. E30 M3's are now coming up in price, despite not being a genuinely rare car with over 16,000 made... The future will certainly see more diminish, so those that will be around in 15-25 years will hold their value in a lot bigger figures than what we see the current sale price at. It is already seen as a collectible, even more so in years to come. Taking into account the price increase from current - not from new. "Rarity is a quality that once it is lost…never returns" Edit: Holy Moly, just realised this is my 300th Post. Time to cut back I think... Haha
  2. Passed a copy or my car (minus ACS work) heading south for road trip. Also a coupe, same colour with similar rear bumper (minus PDC) Gave the indian dude a thumbs up for picking E46 in that colour/shape and then drove off, hahaha.
  3. Added in rear speakers today - sadly the covers won't fit over due to Alpines typical highly place inbuilt tweeter.. Oh well. Will put that in the debation chamber. Also late night clean! Haha
  4. E46, 318i, "SLAM3D" Chick driver! Had me going for a bit on the Mway from Highbrooke into city..
  5. Yes, flick me a message, all yours if you want it Thanks - a bit of a small project, but love all the work being done! I shall take that as a compliment I have added some stock padding from other E46 door cards, but will need to add more as still a bit rattly.
  6. No current registered distributors in Nz, but NZ performance tuning do advertise their brand.. Have a look there
  7. Front speakers today. Again, someone had been in there and added Alpine Type S. I replaced with my component set. Tweeter fitted perfectly and made the 6.5's fit with adapters included with speakers. Gaff tapped crossover and wiring to door, good as gold Sound great, but horrible rattle with any bass due to being placed in the darn door card - need to test and trial methods to stop rattling - clips to be redone?? Also new fog lights in as old were buggered and coated in a yellow tinge.
  8. Had a horse on board or I would have done a Uturn and asked for a quick listen
  9. So today I spent the afternoon on a rather big job which I wasn't really prepared for. So pulled the pioneer piece of crap off - and to no guess, the original plugs etc have been cut to work with the Pioneer Unit. So the mission then turned into finding a donor car that I could hack into.. Lucky Ray had one! Found the right unit with the ability for Can-Bus (steering wheel controls) and took that from the donor car. Finally, after a long while pulling and prodding, soldered the wires back to the original Bmw adaptor so it could plus straight into the Dynavin C... But after a few hours, it worked. Plus I found some amp/sub wiring already in there! But no amp anywhere... But the end result before I had to stop to get my child, was a working Dynavin C, and all the fancy this and that working with it, so bluetooth, radio, nav, steering wheel controls etc etc. Very happy! However, need to pull out bits tomorrow as AirCon unit isn't working.. Loose plug probably. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. By no means an expert opinion here, but noisy lifters? However I would assume the sound would stick around and increase at acceleration points.
  11. Yeah. Happy to spend some money this time around - thank you so much for the insight into the headlights - I am clueless! Will do some research on HID fog lights. Will see whose out there regarding paint touch ups, its very very minor spots but will discuss with others and go from there. Thanks for the extra info, highly appreciate it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Yes - will do 4 Channel Amp Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. They do look a lot smaller, possibly due to the lip, but they don't look too big and ride really well
  14. Goodies bought today for her. Speakers! Halogen & Xenon.. No amp.. So mission amp attach.. Speakers to go in. Edit: Well.. That wasn't the product listed..
  15. Minor Project, but still a project none the less. So E46 323Ci AC Schnitzer. Currently sporting a few minor modifications. - 19" Hunter Imagine, Staggered Dish rims - Supersprint Exhaust Evo2 muffler - Motorsport Front Seats - Angel Eyes And I am convinced a form of upgrade, it performs a lot better than your average 323i Purchased, but to add - Dynavin Unit (Clone, but no difference really - Type R, Alpine Speakers - SPR-60 for the rear - SPR-60C (Component set) Planned: Well, I dug up today to see if it had a stock Amp, and sadly it doesn't (Photo's included) so will have to wire in an amp. I will most likely go with Alpine as well. On that note. - My 4x50watt power from the Dynavin C won't do much with the Alpine Type R's! I will be installing the speakers/Head unit myself, and can pop a photo thread up if anybody wants to follow. I won't however be adding the amplifier as a rather large job I would rather not stuff up! The current headlights are Xenon HID Dims, and Halogen Brights/Fog Lights. So, new foglights. The current are worse for wear, I would also like to match the colour to Xenon.. I am clueless when it comes to Headlights, so I apologise for the lack of terminology. Wanting to know if maybe Foglights could be Xenon or LED even? Open to help on this I would like to (still in the debation chamber) convert to manual and upgrade to a 330i.. And then use that as my base engine to progress on. Due to the High K's on the current engine, I am slightly skeptical about putting money into it! Body/Paint needs a touch up in a few areas (bumper, roof) so will try and source some colour match paint. Polish of the rims, and look into getting the very few curbs marks out. I am currently happy with the suspension, smooth ride, but great when I do ask it to whip around corners at a slightly uncomfortable speed. This is a contiunous list - so things will always be added to it along the way, but for now, just the things listed are on the top of my mind to complete! Enjoy

  20. Yes, Plan to keep her for a very long time.. Haha smooth save
  21. I have found - shoot me if you want - that Kenwood make some great speakers that work perfectly in the coupes - although that was in E30/E36. I had 2x 6.5" and 2x 6x9's and the sound was great.. But will put the extra yards in for the 46.. Thanks for the tips! Edit: Had Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Couldn't help myself, dug straight into the rear deck, looks like someone beat me! These were sitting in there. However, severely blown.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Cheers - the tip isn't something I would personally purchase if I was looking, but it sounds so bloody nice just thought I would leave it but definitely open to options as I personally would like something a less.. A less like the current Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Introducing the Schnitzel… Yes, I have nicknamed her the Schnitzel, no spelling errors there. AC Schnitzer E46 323Ci Many of you already know of her/about her. And to put it simple, if a young, blonde women jumped out of this car, you wouldn't be saying anything negative, so to those with negative opinions, you can politely shove it up your a… back to topic. Bought off Ray @ Hellbm, I have followed this girl’s revival and fell in love with her instantly.. so far gone that I sold my beloved E39 V8 to plan the purchase. She sports an amazing colour, and a sexy body kit, with even more attractive 19” Hunter Imagine rims that are nicely staggered. She also has a great, sexy sounding Supersprint Rear exhaust oval EVO2. With official AC Schnitzer bits and pieces and motorsport seats, this car is a pretty rare and a special edition to my family of Bmw’s. She is officially the lucky number 7. The Plans: So, she is pretty perfect to be fair, but being me, I always enjoying have the top of the model before we see ourselves in the ‘M’ range. I would like to convert this sexy beast to a 330Ci manual, but have decided to enjoy the current engine before undergoing with that plan. She has high k’s but drives extremely well, and certainly feels like there is more horses under the hood than your average 323i. I have already planned the makeover of the audio system.. a Dynavin Clone is going in, and all speakers will be replaced with a nice set of 6.5” components. Angel eyes are also a must, and will be added to the list Plus, as with any Bmw’s, there will be little bits and pieces to be done over time. So, she is the new ‘girl’ and my new project. I am going to have loads of fun working on this car, and she will be hard to miss when overtaking you And a pretty special number plate will be going on her!
  25. Headed out to drinks with a mate and spotted a sexy as Motorsport 540i with Mpars at Mama Locos in Albany.. Such a nice car!
