From what I've heard and (correct me if I'm wrong) if I remember rightly the E28 525i has the M30 engine at around 150hp while the E28 525ee has the M20B27 engine but runs a 2.7L at something like 120-125hp. The 325i E30 variant runs an M20B25 170 hp but is only a 2.5L. Some people mix together the 525e engines with the 325/323/320i engines and produce a 2.7L stroker which put out somewhere between 170-200 hp. So some variations there in spec.

maybe that was his 'buy now' price.. and that he will only consider offers above $1000.. he obviously wants whatever he can get. Gearbox conversion for these cost a fair bit. Although in saying that, from what I've heard on bimmersport you will need a fair bit of different parts for the conversion to fit into your car Brian, just a bit of a headsup.

for passenger side leaks check around the loom where it comes through the firewall up behind the glove box. It can often rust behind there.

still got lots left - heres some more detail. Sunroof winder assembly, rear ashtray (undamaged), window winder handle, dashboard (great condition), front / rear centreconsoles, switches, windows, doors (4 dr model), rear spoiler, clock, speedo cluster. plus heaps more.

plates arent registered to the car.
