yeah well these seemed to engage at a further stage to what i was use to and a more spongy feel to them than the two other E30's ive had.
-
I read an E30 Buyers Guide and was told to look out for spongy brakes. A car I am looking at buying has spongy brakes, how do I remedy this, what is the problem likely to be and is it a major problem.

withdraw your auction dude and re-list.

E30 mags are ... pretty impossible to find. The only half decent ones that have come up in a while are here .. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...on-59483763.htm Often you may find rihgt stud pattern but offset is always way off.

I would hve thought tints increase the liklihood of being broken into , if they cant see anything they will assume its there. Next point is, tints muffle the sound of the glass breaking which ultimately can make glass break sensors useless.

Doesnt the M50 sit lower, I dunno if this changes with E30's mounted ones but yeah.

I knew it ... damn ... ruined is right.. air bagged.. oh no.

dealers charge a bundle, they just sold a Mtech 2 for $650 ($1450 New) but in saying that.. dealers always charge masses more than 2nd hand prices. I'm not disputing how much it may be worth to you but it doesnt seem $200 draws mucha crowd for an Mtech 1 though, the Mtech 2's are much more substantial and thus people are prepared to pay much more $$ for them. I'll give up arguing but I dont think the price is realistic enough for people to want to buy it. People in auckland would think twice at a price on high end, because postage is gonna be a real mofo. Its your price, hopefully it sells. Good luck buddy, btw. my E30 just got pwned, my rear strut brace just arrived. So if your keen gimme a holla.
-
$350 is for an Mtech 2 ... they are a whole different ballgame. No-ones able to tell how mint something is without 1 seeign it in real life or two .. pictures. So I doubt you'll be able to convince people $200 is fair with either.

'cheap second car' .. with gas prices right now.. surely buying an already manual'd 323 ... would be cheaper .. than buying a 535 and having to convert it .. and putting fuel costs ontop of that.
-
overpriced - hence why no interest. $150 would be most expensive I'd think someone would pay, $120 would seem pretty reasonable.
-
pm'd with regard to your post Blake - First one - I'd suggest it'd be worth around the $8-9000 mark maybe. But even still ... standard 325i's arent worth that mcuh, the body isnt worth that price. Third one - theres a huge thread, everyone wants one .. no-one can get one. Dont try untill next year. Theres a bunch of rules no-one can get around right now. Fourth one - dont bother, people have made lower offers with no sucess. That car is probably @ its normal value + dealer commission on top. I'd say its worth between 7-9k if its truely mint. The last one, I dunno... it looks nice but kill the wheels and go back to stock, maybe that'd take some of the price off it. I cant suggest what that should be worth.

finding a manual box for a 535.. good luck . 323 all the way, those cars have good potential.

Happy Birthday Jim, about time for the midlife crisis ? buy an E30. do it now !
-
Happy birthday Doug, may your car stay forever insanely clean. Cheers  Andy

I think Graham and Gus saw it, said its absolute minter, but still $11500 is a hefty price.
-
First one - over priced for just a standard E30 sporting a wide body kit Second one - Cool but no standard E30 is worth more than $6000 Third One - Unregisterable in NZ so why bother Fourth - Too expensive for an M325i, doesnt matter how good it is. You can buy M325's around $6000-8000.. i know of two for sale right now, make that 4. One in Auckland, one in Waihi, one in Wellington and one in Christchurch.
-
BMW - about $500 a piece I believe. They're nearly as rare as hens teeth, your probably best to try and convince someone with a M325i to sell tehm and get aftermarket wheels.

I've got a set of 15x7 basketweaves but really not keen on selling them.
-
Say I was to get some 14" Basketweaves with new tyres, anyone keen ? Also got 14" bottlecaps. I have an idea what I'm after for the basketweaves should they come into my possession but offers on bottlecaps are open. Register your interest, anyone not looking at paying over $200 for the basketweaves probably best not to bother. Cheers guys, just getting an idea. Andy

it has been pulled from the shelves and I dont think anyones imports it. I'll talk to my ex. boss, worked for a company that imported that sorta stuff, I believe its not possible to get any in, but in saying that theres a can @ home on my shelf so yea... ya never know where it could be hiding.
-
lol! -> I may have a spare auto box for ya in a while.

The gap in the valance isnt bigger enough to support the size of the bumper. Do a full conversion, put facelift valance, bumpers etc on, rear would be much harder. Side skirts generally match up, but in many cases 2 door skirts wont fit on 4 door cars.
