if you need a WOF just rip out the bulb, if you take it to bmw they may well just charge you a new setup for it... which believe me will cost you in the thousands.
-
all those tickets...refunded

BOOM headshot! pm ducatiss on here.. probably around $500 delivered so probably best you do soem negotiating.
-

whats your numberplate again... shkbte.. come on .. your just as bad buddy, minus the wing and that car would look pretty much identical to yours really, you still run crystal clear altezza taillights, take the wing off, personalised plate, four door non kitted dark coloured E36. Although you've still got one up on him, why couldnt he have thought of custom windscreen banners. I think most people would agree that altezza lights on a bmw is a sin.

tool kit anyone - restock your current one or put one in. - $35 bimmersport price. putting it on trademe mid next week

its a boot roundel - much bigger than the bonnet rounded. Its got all of its colour it hasnt chipped anywhere. There are a couple of scratches or very little cracks under the surface of the clear coat but they cannot be noticed unless you literally stick your head less than a foot away from it. There is a slight stone chip that looks like a slight blemish in the black but really doesnt show up (8pm on black part of roundel). For what it is, this is the pretty good 2nd hand roundel. Cheers Andy

Make sure to talk to the assessors of your car while they are assessing them as you can convince them of there rarity and also the fact there are very very few nice E30's out there at the moment. Because the assessors are independant you dont have to worry about getting bias results. Just emphasis, there age and the imacculate condition of your car - the rarity and value. I mentioned when I was going thruogh this with the assessors on my car that I wouldnt be able to get a car of the same spec regardless of the condition for less than a certain price and sure enough thats what they paid out. Tell them about the fact its the only DOHC model engine released in the E30's and one of the most sort after. Possibly as many as only 10-15 in the country. Be sure to mention any visable work your've done on teh car whether it be a new paintjob, new tyres or other selling points for hte car. Tell them about common flaws in E30's such as rust, rips, cracks in the dash, high kims (as appose to your reasonable km's) and all the other signs of age that cant be seen on your car. They are trying to look at this from a car salesmen type of view, they want to know waht they would ask for it on a yard, if you express the value of this rare biarch then you may be surprised how much you get. Be aware that they will get more than one assessor to look at your car and often take an average between them as to what you get paid out for your car. I doubt you'll end up getting what your car is worth, but be sure to emphasis what getting a replacement of this calibre would cost without sounding ridiculous and you hopefully will sway the assessors opinon. Tell them you highly doubt you'll ever find something of this quality, because your car looks to have been a real minter. It may help if you are looking to get a realistic value figure to show them the photos you posted on bimmersport, the shine in that car is amazing and its such a pitty to see it go. Hope this helps somewhat, was a bitch doing my car but I got a fair deal out of it. Was ironic, firstly.., firstly that the driver (a boy racer) .. stopped and didnt pull a runner 2ndly that the driver admited responsibility and last that he had full insurance. Cheers Andy

dno ay cos mst ppl on dis 4rum cnt rd writn lik dis cos dis is a 4rum n not a cellfone ay. leav ya txtlish fo da selfone boe coz on hea ppl dnt got n e respekt 4 it ay. You did well with the title, but just failed on the post itself. An e36 manual conversion aint hte easiest thing to source. I suggest you post up what model, year and engine your car is running. Be prepared to pay between $900-2000+ for it and thats not including labour to get it in there. Might be better off just finding another auto box for $200. www.sdeuropean.co.nz probably have some kits available but again .. you'll looking at $2000+GST and upwards. keep an eye on trademe, the only one I know of on there at the moment is this one here which is for a early E36 318iS and I dontk now that you could use it on any other model E36.

Unfortunately not. Ask "Fast328i" on trademe, both of which have auctions up at hte moment I believe and they might have one. They're also building an E30 series car so would probably be happy to help out if they can. Just ask a question on one of there auctions, hopefully they've got one as they've had a fair deal of E30's go through them in the past. Cheers Andy.

I'm wondering if anyone has any idea how to remove the windscreens (without breaking them) from a BMW E30. Unsure whether I should be hacking into teh seal with a craft knift or is there a particular way to doing this. Same goes for windows imbedded into doors, if someone smashes one and you dont want to pay price to say smith and smith and just replace with used glass.. how does one go about swapping. Cheers Andy
