Using a 20" LCD 1600x1200 and I guess maybe the orange bits are all too bigger than the writing for me.. (which doesnt adjust with changing settings in IE) but it seems its more the colour is too dominant.
-
as I was saying to Andrew, because its white writing on black background your eye is immediately drawn to the orange. Its hard to contrast the dull writing over hte bright buttons. Ahh well... just my thoughts anyway. I like the orange, and its use on the mainpage.

there was a discussion about this a long time back where we determined drivers side sits lower because its got more weight on it constantly.. Springs in drivers side might be different because that side constantly supporting a driver whereas passenger is nto always there. How they would differentiate left from right when installing them .. or 4 different part numbers ? who knows.

I agree. If they wanted to do it, then they should make more of an effort to at least comply with the traditional aspects rather than making it culturally insensitive. Apparently they totally snub us and put it through anyway.

you cant compare drinking cappucino's with our 2nd national anthem as such. This is something that is directly associated with our country and the maori people. This is something that is directly associated with our nation, our people and our culture. Something as powerful as our national song should not be used to brand a product. Why a haka ? why our haka ? to what effect were they trying to achieve, there approached seems pointless and still somewhat culturally insensitive.
-
Kamate is the NZ Haka though and is what was being performed. It is somewhat of a 2nd/3rd national anthem to NZ and is often performed after the main anthem.
-
this method is all good and done, but my poor NZ New E30 doesnt seem to have a steering lock, can anyone suggest a methodto getting the steering wheel off that doesnt include a saw or cutting tools.
-
firstly the NZ haka is native to NZ and I believe is culturally insensitive to be performed by foreigners. I believe it is about pride and respect for our country. I guess they cant trademark the haka ... but yeah, it shouldnt be treated as a joke. Its directly taken from the All Black haka correct ? so its targeting NZ'ers and the Maori people. Its giving it off in such a way that they treat it as a joke rather than a sign of respect ? I dunno ... food for thought, wondering what they were trying to achieve really. Personally, I'm a tad offended in the manner they did it in, but doesnt worry me so much.

Hey Jamie that sounds fine, make me a reasonable offer (not an insult) and I'll see if we can reach an agreement. Will have to determine exactly what it is and where to find it / how to dismantle it but that shouldnt be too hard. Happy to help organise shipping it down to christchurch as long as its size is within reason. Cheers Andy

For the record, your looking at $350-400+ according to two panel beaters ive spoke to after same thing happened to my mums car and mine. The dents were more than just dimples that you could pull though. I hate mungs that do that and get away with it.

Hi, sorry about the delayed reply, went away and didnt see the post. At this stage I'm not sure whether this will effect its mobility. The car is currently in my garage so its going to need to stay moveable so once its been parted out it can be taken away. The car was a 316i in its early life, so if that gives any bearing to answer your question with then hopefully that helps. I'm unsure of the strut size otherwise. Cheers Andy

sorted my issue.. previous owner had taken the steering wheel off.
-
How do you determine whether your car needs a wheel alignment. I only ask this because my steering wheel is out (more than a bit) but my car doesnt track to one side and it doesnt seem to have any other steering issues. Cheers Andy

cheers topless, I've got a front fender, indicator and grills etc. Will start parting out next week(holidays), welcome to send me a pm for further details. I take it your car was involved in an accident, mmm.. remember seeing it around unitec, pitty it happens to the best.

you should have wiring for the side repeaters. AFAIK All E30's have side repeaters, its just some of them are on the front bumper (US Spec). Finding US spec fenders will probably proove prettty damn hard seeing as there are very few in NZ, I've never seen one anyway.

surely there is enough bricks driving around Northland right now to build another Berlin Wall.
