I'd just about hit that, what sort of mileage do you get. How flawless is it, any rust ? where ? major scratches ? it looks near perfect from those pics but they can be decieving. I wouldnt consider an E28 unless it was outstanding.

Hey Darren, gimme a price on shell, no grills / front lights, no interior, no gearbox, dont need wheels unless you dont want them(have my own). I'd ask without the engine but I mean might just be better off leaving it in there instead of replacing it with mine, might be able to swap you some parts if you want, as have recond. I've got a set of high tread directional (6-7mm) 195x65x14's if you we're interested. I'm getting a nother E30 at some stage and probably wont need them. My car was rear ended recently and one of the set of tyres was damaged due to driving it home with a rubbing guard, a set of 3 isnt very useful to me so if your interested in them I'd be happy to do a pair for a reasonable price. The tyres are cured, which means thread will wear down at a slower than normal rate.

yeah but I bought this off tardme and it could well be where the seller has bs'd me into thinking it was off a 320i. The only serial number I can find is 240.0.0132.90 on the area below the driveshaft.

my bad, I was told it was off a 320i, maybe its not a 240. It is from a 320i so maybe that gives you the answer. I can only find a few markings - none of which say 260 only one of which says 240 at the start of a code. which is at the end near where the driveshaft bolts in.

As above, will a Getrag 240 manual gearbox run on a BMW E30 325. The gearbox is an 87 the car is an 89. What differences would I notice using a 240 over a 260 is there anything lost by doing it this way considering the 240 is designed for the 320.

Graham aka Bravomikewhiskeys dad owns a Baur, would pay to talk to him see if you can find any common pitfalls with the roof. The 320i (m20b20) engines personally I dont favour, I actually owned one 89 that shat itself on 126,000km's which I was quite gutted about. They seem to be underpowered for the number of cylinders on the engine, and definately have the worst fuel economy of all E30's as far as I know.

Look under the wheel arches, below the taillights, on the inside corners of the boot sill, around headlights, around both windscreens, at the bottom of doors, where the spoiler meets the boot, on the firewall, rip up some of the carpet and check the floor pan, in the spare tire well, check for dampness in the carpet as well as in the wells in the boot etc. I've actually thought about buying this car myself, if it'd been a manual for that price then I'd consider it, but nah.. Its a good car but expect to be paying big money for a new cover.

What parts in particular are you after, I dont have all them but will have some. Some other people have first dibs on fenders and bonnets but if they pass up the offer your welcome to buy them. Have also got headlights, grills, 2 good front bumpers etc. If your after any other parts gimme a holla, I'm just waiting upon news that my car is written off. Got rear-ended... bugger.

Reasonable condition interior, a few rips is fine. 4. minimal rust - preferably none atall. Looking for something nice condition, reasonable mileage, thats been serviced properly. My ideal - 318iS / 325i / M325i manual 2 door coupe but I'm open to 318 / 320 offers. North Island only please. Show me whats on offer.

I was quoted between $90-120+gst per rim to get my rims painted. It depends on how technical the design is, as it may cost more. Hope that helps, Cheers Andy

dont get me wrong, I love your car and am truely envious as is everyone else but can we get some closer / bigger pictures. This car is said to be one of the best E30's in teh world, but you need to be up close to realise. Cheers Andy
