  1. for free, yes please, haha , moneys going to be tight for a while now, i have a habit of spending money faster than i can earn it,sometimes i think a woman would actually be cheaper than modding cars
  2. cheers mate, i highly recomend wayney to anyone wanting some headers, they are amazing quality and a great power gain and look and he is a pleasure to deal with. my drivers engine mount does seem to sag alot, it was replace about 6 or 7 months ago but have always thought it did sag quite a bit,i will just space it out for now , or just drive my other car untill i can sort it. hoping to get the heat sheild back on too
  3. sweet dude, ill be in tomorrow anyway ,
  4. this is true, chip would be very nice. yea could machine some at work , but not to keen on solid mounting on a road car, will snap a mount sooner or later edit, by solid i mean ali mounts, would rather urethane or nolethane
  5. cheers Graham Yes the headers have made a hell of a difference in revving, have to change gear before you know it, has heaps more power in every gear, (got a bit hairy this afternoon, when a ditch jumped out of nowhere), and the torque on the open road in 4the and 5th is amazing. Engine noise hasnt really increased, its more of a smooth sound now because it flows so much easier now, nice and quiet, but screams when you boot it with a grunty sound, which is just how i wanted it
  6. but mine get extreemly hot, hot enough to burn my arm and leave a welt. woops
  7. cheers kerry, still not quite up to your standard tho mate. You wouldnt know of any urethane engine mounts avalible would you? should solve my problems, giving it the boot makes it sound like my wastegate spring is rooted haha
  8. well if she is reading this, she should know that mark told me hes keen on her, he told me not to say anything but i couldnt resist, p.s im jelious of your car mark
  9. Not that green bighorn is it?
  10. cheers nath. yea ive seen ireland engineerings ones, was thinking of getting some from that "fremo" guy on here, he was doing them for around $40 each
  11. not so much straight bolt on, kerry had a hell of a job getting them on, the mid section was supposed to be clamped to the headers but the clamps were the wrong size so he welded that up, then just welded the end of the mid section to the facelift exaust, ended up taking 6 hours bacause of all the problems he ran into
  12. Pics as promised. How much were your urethane mounts john?
  13. Update: The headers and exaust are all done, bit of an upgrade from the 2ltr manifold and smaller than 2ltr boogy system i had on there. It now sports the set of wayneys headers in the pics above, and a 2.5ltr facelift system , i will be changing the tips very soon as the look a bit to small from what im used to having on there. Changes: revs to limit rediculasly fast now, Blody nice sound, have yet to test the performance on the openroad. Pics will be on later when i get hold of a camera Next things to tackle :(will need suggestions on how to remidy these) Solid urethane engine mounts?: when the engine rocks under acceleration its rocking so much that it pushes the headers onto the steering arm, which vibrated throught to the steering wheel, (sounds like a wastegate ) and the headers JUST touch the knuckle on the universal joint, what to do??? and i couldnt run the heatsheild on the steering arm , (is this going to melt it exsessivly?) So all steering related problems, which does worry me a bit Matt
  14. mark is quite the oppisite to you RyanG, he needs to say what hes feeling, About ria i mean
  15. And quickly swap the motor into my car while its in with you for the day ay kerry, when do you and RyanG expect to be done?
  16. Managed to sort it, the source was the injector harness plug, Basically when ever i would plug it togeather the mail prong would push one of the female ones out so it was not contacting. I couldn't see it because it was on the underside,,so im in agreement with john now, (it's a gay plug) haha
  17. Have done the old screwdriver to the ear trick and injectors 2, 4 and 6 are defenently not fireing, does anyone have any diagrams to figure out which wires run this bank of injectors? I fear i may have pulled to hard on the harness and pulled something loose
  18. tried that, looked a bit corroded but nothing major, would it blow a fuse if that was pluged in the wrong way?,some rangi has been down there before and played around with the wires there, so i decided to put it back into its little holder this morning, then it missfired, edit, the leads on 2 , 4 and 6 sre still sparking
  19. Hey guys, noob question after a noob mistake. I degreased my engine yesterday and tried not to get any water onto any eletrical parts, i thought i succeeded when it ran fine afterwards, But i started her up thismorning and its not fireing on all cylinders, Ive taken the plugs out to make sure theres no moister on them, checked inside the distributer cap and its dry. But when i pull leads 2 4 and 6 off theres no difference in how it runs, i can even have all 3 off at once and it doesn't change anything, but if i pull 1, 3 or 5 off it will stall. Any tips? Matt
  20. I turn the radio down for every speed bump, and every traffic light or if im looking for somewhere i havn't been before, It really pisses everyone else in the car off I also clench my teeth for potholes that i can't avoid and usualy lift myself off the seat a bit at the same time
  21. I'll be there, pop'd round yesterday but you must have been slacking off.
  22. by the sounds of it brooks going to make his own fireworks display if hes having to work this hard to get some
