makes sense...the projectors would have more"control" you would think.I have heard that HIDS must be factory, comlete with washers and adjustors. That of course makes it poible to retro fit e 39s and the like but at some cot/difficulty
-
isnt that exactly what you DONT want on low beam...thats why putting a different bulb into a housing not designed for it is not a good idea
-
i do it becuase just about every time i replacea bulb(say tailight) the other side blows son after, one time as soon as i turne the lights on after repalcing one,ding.......tail light...wtf...was the other side! Also different batches are may be a different wttage(slightly) and you have different brightnes one side to another ..that always annoys me!

yes the options suffer sometimes with translaton i think.

715 is some ort of body aero dditins mtech suspension slightly lower and with slightly tiffer sway bars 823..we dicussed this...slightly bigger radiator or similar to cope with higher temperatures?
-
i installed some new H1 "plus 30" bulbs the other day(one blew and i always replace in pairs) definetly more light(low beam) maybe its just due to repalcing the OLD bulbs

are the valves from the E34 version of the M30? -
what would a warranty cost on one of these(could you even get one on this one at 130k??)
-
not a good reason Nic! M5 owners must be feeling the pinch 4 are on or have been on at prices that seem good. There is a welly one that started at 65 already dropped to low fifties!I dont really like silver cars ussually but that one lloks good(starts doing mental sums and rehearsing arguments why we must have need one)

if you get to wellington at a reasonable hour(ie while most people are still at work),text or ring me 0276742270 and i will see if i can rustle up a impromptu welly meet(welly bimmersporters take note)
-
the radiators can crack at the hose outlet/ tank connection. Some people say at 160k replace rad, themostat, waterpump hoses.I say keep a close eye on them and replace at first sign of weakness.you can spot cracks cos the antifreeze dries and leaves a residue

i was talking about the manual one i was looking at.What day will you be in welly?
-
cmon its a 24 year old car. Most cars at sometime in their life reach a point where the owners decides to stop spending....
-
the problem with the 540 is it FEELS docile, and they are very quiet.
-
if you cruise through without being silly you could do it in one tank(full in AK) and in about 7 hours (8 max) Nice car and good value. That makes the Invercargil overpriced IMHO even though it is a manual. What colour interior?Sports seats?LOVE the wheels.Watch out for situations where in othercars you wont be speeding..the 540 will waft you absolutely effortlessy up hill, passing manouvres you will hit 160 without realising,so keep yer eye on the speedo!
-
how old is the car...the 2 yrs would be just about up?
-
whats the pros and cos of the dual mass then(aprt from this one?)
-
i know but i think the economics are dubious...dont get me wrong i think if one is in the market for a new(er) car then by all means get a very economical one(and we just have). But to take a big hit in depreciaton to get rid of a big car..hmmm>and one must also ask the queston. What happens to that car?Is it going to be removed from the fleet? Its probably going to be kept running by someone perhaps not in tha same good condition it should be...so overall still a contribuor to the "carbon footprint:_consumption club".

the guy that is keen on my 535 has an e23 735 manual that looks quite tidy
-
e 34 have heaps of character...
-
heresy...BMW sports seats FTW
-
at first it was because it met all my criteria, rear wheel drive, manual, enough headroom for me(6'3"),a/c,torquey,and could fit the three of us woth luggage and my bike(mtb OR road) all in the boot, of course it didnt hurt that it had leather, sports seats etc etc.....and there was a car club associated with it.After a while tho it became more than the sum of lots parts...its just somehow just MORE!
