i think theoretically its illegal here too.The other aspect is the threat of viruses and even more spam if you follow one of the links.I ussually just delete them because the subjects lines are pretty recognizeable, but every now and then there is one that seems a bona fide email from someone.Because i get emails from allsorts of people re the BMWCC plus a couple of other sites i go too i dont always recognize the sender

Spargo,s spot on,std offset is 20mm and hub dia is 72.4.Many aftermrket wheels will have a hub dia of 74mm as does any E39 5 series wheel. Most any other 5 6 or 7 wheel will fit your car.The extra hub dia can be cured with a shim or hubcentric ring.

yes about a year ago i was getting heaps even tho paradise have a "spam" filter, then it dropped of but lately i have been getting about 10 a day.Pisses me off!

70 540 LE were shipped to aussie and one of those is Cains which somehow ended up over here.I have heard there are about 10.Its funny that there were three for sale All at the same time on tard me.The same one came up twice in Welly in about a month as well as one out the Hutt.As Cain says those 70 are part of the 250 or so ever made in RHD form so its a rare E34i am guessing that the 250 include 94 and 95 model years

a couple have recently sold down here(welly) for round $12000.Thats a lot of car for that money.
-
i think the 540 is limited to 155 mph ;0

Is this the techno violet one from Auckland with quite high Kays?? The wheels are know as Style 5s,I think they are actually E39 wheels and have a 74mm outer dia and 72,4 mm inner dia.Keep an eye on them when changing roadsie punctures or going to the tire shop.Dont know what spare you have but if its a std e 34 wheel and a hubcentric ring is on the hub you wont get the std wheel on.If it is the Auckland one it sure lloks nice, testament to good maintenance. Haven driven one I cant see how anyone can think they are gutless.Try changing down to third on the motorway at 100 ks and flooring it!

i was going to suggest a coil.....The pcv is a crancase ventilation device on the back of the enging which directs "cranckase air" back into the inlet manifolds to be burnt.Thats what you had Martyn, relatively common i beleive on the M60 and prolly m62. Whatever i hope it turn out to be a coil Jochen, test them then see if you can beg steal borrow one to see if that solves your problem.I also beleive valve cover gaskets can leak oil collects in the valley and can affect the coils/spark plugs.?

although some of us are car club members, this forum has no connection at all with the BMW Car Club

welcome! 535 ftw!

It would be fantastic if we could find some way for the car club and Shelleys to find some common ground. There may be a few steps between many of us and the Dealer but most of our cars rolled out of a dealers door one day!

I would be in if the oil is castrol synthetic.

go to page european in home street see if they can put you onto a relay supplier.May even be able to get the old relay working, the contacts can become pitted.....you havent got anything to lose.
-
you talking stock parts or modified? You can get parts much much cheaper than here.
-
I am pretty sure that e34s are galvanised to a large degree. And as far as I know my car is totally leak free.My 1986 ST151 Toyota Corona had some rust problems,i think the next toyota models were seriously rust proofed
-
Best! I like it...My best was when i reset my obc at the gas station ...its uphill from there to home i cant remember the exact numbers but the traffic was busy and the gaps small and it was over 40L/100ks
-
Cant agree there sorry jazz E34's rule...a E39 540 or 528 manual w sports seats might change my mind
-
ouch.

I guess I am Nuts then but just about every bmw that has been looks good to me

before bangle.....Bangle is the designer every one loves to hate...e 34 and e 39 owners probably hate him for ruining the e 60.....etc

i actually think the yellow circle is more significant, than FH or a yellow triangle, but stick to your guns i reckon if you go to court with your evidence and argue that it wasnt marked as a fh as shown in the code the judge will chuck it out. However I would say you wouldve parked there anyway even if it was An proper FH n circle n so on....
