As above. Is complete down to flywheel bolts. No gearknob though - I've never seen a conversion with one anyhow. Usual bits are worn (leather shift boot, shift rod knuckle joint, rubber clutch lines, and all the risks associated with running secondhand clutch if you choose not to buy a new one). $750 firm. PM me, I will not negotiate on the thread, will only answer general questions. Or if you prefer 0210608558. Please ring, I don't have time to spend the day answering txts. Its on TM aswell.

It's always the tiy things that are a pain. The nuts that hold the exhaust pipe to the manifold are supposed to be one use, but I reuse them anyway. One of them is now well past its use by date and deformed to the point where it cannot be used again, and so time to replace it as with it off exhaust gas is emmitted into my engine bay (and probably the passenger cabin too). But of course Repco etc don't have anything like that. I can order off my BMW parts supplier, but I have to pay freight for a nut that proabably costs less than $1. So where do you get something like this? Nuts and bolts would have to be the hardest things to source in my experience. Cheers

It's 2 years. The wording in the road code is ambiguous. I have email LTNZ and asked them as I too would like to know. I'll let you know what they say.

no ATM machines in Northland usually hand to mouth - we're all poor on the bones of our arse up here - didn't you know? Tough Chris. Tuuuffff. Tyre stretch FTW. Tints really make it. boot badge is missing and I hope that's not intentional. crystal fronts would be better with frosted clears, not crystal clears. IMO. Looking hard. Need to get Gus and me together for a black e30 photoshoot.

Manual conversion done. Getrag 260 5spd, Luk Clutch, z3 1.9 shortshift. Have Getrag 240 5spd conversion if anyone is interested. PM me.

Except on nearly every 4x4 track in NZ as a tank wouldn't fit - too wide and not manoeuverable enough. On open paddocks/swamps etc sure though.
-
Gates prolly the best known belts brand in the world. You can't go wrong with gates.
-
Just buy a Z3 1.9 stock lever - it is the easiest, cheapest and simplest approach with the only caveat being the lever sits slightly further forward in the car - but it is so little you'd barely notice it. Around $100-125 incl GST from any BMW parts place.

QH are relatively well known, but there are better known brands. Made in UK and Germany.

14,500 to get to work. Another 8-10,000 in the e30, and then probably about another 10-15,000 a year whilst at work. So roughly 32,500-39,500 a year. Which is about average for a NZer if you look at AA statistics etc (IIRC)

I guess you are looking at the Quinton Hazell (QH) belts on TM recently. 9 years is a long time for rubber to be sitting. Like all rubber it perishes over time which is why even low-mileage vehicles that havn't had their cambelts changed in sometime should be checked. There are two sizes - 127 and 128 tooth. 127 is the most common (based on the fact I've never seen a 128 tooth car in the small number of belts I've seen replaced) Finally, those prices aren't cheap enough to sway me to buy them. They aren't that much less than the same brand belt brand new from Euro-Italian.

That's about 38mm front 25mm rear.

Can't believe they are marketing it as a popular plate due the Pams supermrket brand. Bull.

And Andrew takes the "man I feel like a woman" award off the reigning champion Gus for being the most indecisive bitch on the forum. Congratulations Andy, Gus has been hard to beat I know, but you've done it. Well done mate!

Fees have gone up a fair bit. Used to be $20 to list a car with no success fees and they had regular $10 specials. Now its $29 plus success fee. Cost of gallery has gone up, success fees have gone up I think., there's a page somewhere on TM listing all the changes.

Re: pedal box: You can do as you say - just undo the brake pedal bolt, position the clutch and brake pedals and slide the bolt from the manual box through (its longer). It's a bit fiddly esp with the brake pedal spring and if you have aircon the hoses get in the way, but much easier than swithing the entire pedal box IMO.

f**k you talk some sh*t will And there is occaisionally a bimmersport-stickered car in whangaz. Hamwallet chased me down the other day becasue of it - I didn't know it was him and spent 5mins weaving around whangaz streets wondering who the crazy mofo in the 100% electric store van following me and flashing and tooting was.

The wheels are momo's not sure which, so Chris's suggestion of them being gt2's sounds about right. The McD's sticker is long gone.

Loving the gt40 and the black cossy sierra. Cool pics Andy.

Hi. Top marks for enthusiasm, and glad you idn't do the usual n00b mistake of cutting your metal parcel tray to put the 6x9's in. Put some decent amped splits in the front. There aren't really any cheap "bolt-on" mods for bimmers. You could try a performance chip etc, but the value for money isn't really there. You get more improvment for your dollar by enjoying the car and then upgrading in due course to a 325 or 328. Welcome, enjoy your ride.

I use oneway. It's ok, and has a network marketing structure that is essentially opt-in as you aren't required to operate in the network structure. You earn credit for signing new memebers up and for there buy/sell "traffic". You don't have to sign up in anyones network, so those put off buy network marketing schemes need not avoid the site. Those that fell like giving me free credit by signing up PM your email address to me and I'll email you a link so that your signup counts to my credit. I'm not into network marketing at all, but free credit is something I'm deinately into! Otherwise www.oneway.co.nz Would be intersted to see what elso others use. It'd be great if someone set up a free/nearly free site that was as smooth and professional as TM's site and that had some point of difference to make it stand out to offer some real competition to Trademe.

Told all you mofo's the Northlanders were taking over. I think we're up to 7 or 8. BTW Will, Dwayne signed up here too - did you know he'd bought an e30 320i? Nice price on that one, but my e30 will smoke it. Still got your Hilux? Been waiting to see you come to another 4x4 meet so I can pwn you again. jks bro, welcome.
