    BBQ Rules

I think you better hurry up on those Emily. The chef doesn't like to get thirsty. In fact once you have them sorted, be a good girl and run down to the BP for a bag of ice. I'm thinking of your legs getting tired when I say that a few on some ice in a chilly bin out here next to our chairs wouldn't go a miss.

    Quick Questions

Correct fluid is G3 Fully Synthetic ATF as adivsed by board sponsor Botany Motor Worx. So, yes synthetic fluid is OK for your manual gearbox, but it should be ATF to G3 standard or higher.

Channel that emotion... In the direction of the beer fridge, thanks. I'll have a Becks, and these blokes look like they could do with a refill too...
  4. A bit too quick there Ollie. Follow up article dated yesterday (thank f**k for that - it would have been ludicrous!):
  5. He's referring to this. To the others, if you are serious about buying this, I'm sure Laurence will pM you the serial No so you can check the version on the website. Alternatively Laurence - if you enter the serial on the website it'll list the model and features which you can cut and paste here.
  6. Do some researching and google searching first, then come back with some serious questions. You are basically asking how long a piece of string is. Until you've put some effort in to find out some info on your own, most will be unlikely to provide much useful help. Let us know how you get on.
  7. FINALISTS FOR BEST DANCE/ELECTRONICA ALBUM: Sola Rosa - Get It Together Ladyhawke - Ladyhawke Antiform - City In Exile Top Album. I bought it before the release party and still listen to it at least once a week. By the way - have I been living under a rock?? I'd never heard sola rosa before. Not only is his music awesome (and going to be a bit of competition at the awards for our lads in Antiform), but the Turn Around video clip is pretty damn cool. 8. NSX I saw a red one of these outside a cafe when I was about 16 and without having any idea of their value decided that I would buy one when I got my full license. I mean - it was a honda - how expensive could it be??? Anyway, I still want one and would own one in a second if I could afford it. Awesome cars.
  9. Plus the fact that it's now a 10yr old car?? Watch these depreciate fast over the next few years. By the time e36's were 10 years old they were much less than this!
  10. Yeah before you listed the costs I immediately thought $10-15k - your sitting just over $10k, so that's fairly good. I spent $5k or more on my SC, and it's not as fast as a v8. Closer to an e30 m3.
  11. Or you could run your own wiring James. I always run new wiring for the stereo in my cars. Buy a couple of reels of red, black, yellow, blue, and speaker wire and an inline fuse holder and fuse suitable for the red wire. Run a red wire from the battery or the positive terminal on the car's distro block to the fuse then through the firewall to the stereo. This is your constant power. Run yellow from the ignition connector plug (I can tell you which plug and wire once I get out my Bentley) to the stereo. This is your switched power. Run a black wire from the stereo to an earth point behind the glovebox trim. (There are around 3 decent earth points there in an e30). Run a blue wire from the stereo to the boot - this is your electric aerial and amp switching wire (run two if your stereo can control the amp and aerial separately). Run speaker wire where you need to. Done, and all new wire (not 20-year old stuff), and should only take you an hour or so, and you'll know exactly how to fix it all if you ever have a problem. Solder all your joints and protect with heat shrink for a tidy, professional job. Use either bullet connectors, strip connectors, or buy and butcher a stereo connector adapter to plug the stereo in with.
  12. I don't enter the forum via the main page so didn't know it was happening. Admin will take a look at report back. Just hit cancel in the meantime. Sorry about all the forum probs guys. We are looking at possible upgrades to the forum that will hopefully remove all the issues, but these may be some time away, and nothing has been finalised as of yet.

    The bastard child.

Why don't you do an m3-style widebody? It's really hard to see what it really looks like in the photographs. Some bg flares and maybe side-skirts would make it blend in to the background I think.
  14. Is your current motor stuffed? Or are you looking to swap out simply for more power?
  15. It won't be spinning whilst he's stopped though, Nathan.
  16. Since it only happens in gear, it may be a transmission problem.
  17. Cool. Didn't someone already post up pics of this?? I'm going to check it out next weekend. Should be good!
  18. If I'm ever in Nelson, I'd love to touch your Jelly Bottom... There's a blue Isetta in Kerikeri (or somewhere nearby). When I can get into my FB album I'll post some pics. Or if you can be bothered they're here.

    M325i vs SR20DET.

Yeah guys, Henry is probably the best driver on the forum. Leave him alone.

    hey

I think she's talking to the OP as they're both from Dunedin.

    Brooks Steelies

Cheers dude. In a way you did describe the problem. Tyres DO exist in that size, but they're not common. Other than the semi-slick you mention, there's a POS of a brand I can't remember , and a couple of Toyos that are half decent, and that's about it. Hardly what you'd call a good selection.

    hey

Better than that new reporter on the news. Jenny Taylor. I just about choked on my beer when I heard that one!
