Als Mufflers do great work. Know their stuff and will design a system to your requirements that will increase performance, not just make more noise. Expect to pay $500-600 depending on the choice of muffler. More if you want wayney or similar headers.

+1. Maybe a nice fluoro green.... Actually I was thinking black and then I get to use up my last old-style BS sticker. w00t!

Top work. This car is looking sweet now, and with the 2.5 to match. Nice work. I can't say I thought it'd come up as good as it has. It's a credit to you man.

It's a close race between Mark, Heath, ollie and Paul for me.... Must spend more time looking at pics.... 10 points or trying Peter, and -10 points for a beard Lucan. It's not beard-vember.

What SIRe30's trying to say is that, of the standard non-M cars. The 325i's and 318i's (especially in their M325i and 318iS variants) are the more popular. (or should that be "desirable"?) The 320i's are somewhat the lost middle child taking not enough of their bigger brother's (325i) performance attributes, or the handling and fuel mileage typical of the smaller 318i. We all agree that the 316i's aren't much chop unless you're after a frugal city car and are set on an e30. 320i's are certainly more common than most of the others.

Would make negligible gains if any. The theory behind them is fairly sound, but in practice, they make next to no difference. Despite what some will say, the intake path for m20's is fairly efficient based on some comparative dyno testing at Hi Velocity.

Leave Apex alone. We all know he only likes new cars and has no soul. I can't help but side with the fans. But then again, I love classic cars. There's a slightly ugly 959 replica on TM that some Porcheophiles may like. I quite like the 944's.

Bugger. I can't say that there'd be an easy way to do it. Maybe solder a wire to the pin and pull it out? But if you aren't careful you'll make a mess of your plug and/or transfer heat into the circuit board (bad if too much). Might be less stressful to take it to an electronics expert. Shouldn't cost all that much considering the value of the amp.

Hello Bimmersport! From an e30 fan :)
bravo replied to djguranga's topic in New Member Introductions
Welcome. That e30 has had several bs members over the years. Good to see it's still around. Welcome Brocky-boy aswell. BTW you might be surprised how cheap a car like that can be as the kit is the factory mtech II kit, and the wheels are Advantis. Good to see some fresh members. -
Sweet e34! Welcome to the forum.

Valvoline has a good reputation, but I'm not sure if 5W is a bit low for an older car. Others may wish to coment. I use a 15W40.
-
You guys need to get out more.
-
Exactly. Help the guy out with constructive advice, or keep it to yourself. Good luck with your project. I think the comments on the price are spot-on - sounds cheap to me.
-
That's cool. i think that's what I pay too. I was just interested on whether it was cheap or about right. I didn't think it was too much to pay. I'm friends with the local tyre guy (we go fishing), but he told me he can't match Johnno's price and I should buy them off him. So I will. I'm buying a battery off him and will get him to fit them anyhow.
-
Per tyre? PM me your payment details and I'll arrange to pay over the weekend or on Monday. Cheers.
-
Just checked out the mo space. Do you guys not get the idea of this? It's not an excuse to be hairy for a mo-nth - it's a way to make mo-ney for cancer. Get your family to go online and donate you lazy mo-fo's!
-
+1. Just needs m535 kit too!
-
I'll take two Johnno. You wouldn't recommend anything else? What should I be paying for fit and balance? Cheers.
-
I've managed to churn through another pair of sport maxx's. Note to self: Do something about negative camber. Local price for Sport maxx's fitted is $245 incl. ea. Toyo Teo is about $8 less. Toyo Proxes 4 is about $220 incl. which I have been told are about Direzza level. Any other recommendations before I spend $500 on Sport Maxx's again? (They're awesome tyres BTW) Cheers.

Pic or exact model please. Any wear/tear?

There are good, bad and ugly. At a car show recently two were parked near each other. At first glance there didn't appear to be much difference. On closer inspection they couldn't have been more different. One was on a steel chassis, with a tired old Mitsubishi motor, and looked like it weighed a ton. The other was tubular space frame with carbon everywhere running a motorcycle engine and sequential box, and weighed about 450kg. I'd go drive a few and find out what you can get for your money, and what you do/don't like.

The admin team support Glenn's comments. Bimmersport does not condone "witch hunts" or "name and shame" tactics. If you feel you have had bad service, you can say so. However, there are always two sides to every story, and it is not our perogative to play judge jury and executioner. All this type of discussion does is damage the reputation of bimmersport without providing any gain to individual members.

I did a manual conv on my old 320i. Was the best mod I did. But the advice to sell and buy a 325i is good advice. Unless your 320i is a real minter, in which case, a manual conversion, and/or engine swap might be your best bet. The parts are cheap. The labour can get expensive. If you can do it yourself, it's fairly easy, and would be worth it.

Nice. I want one of these. Always have my eye out, but can't justify 4 cars. Let me know how you find the auto as I've been looking at 6-spds.
