And your budget is and you are from where , All these sorts of things help.

Ray or Brent or anybody else have this style steering wheel around. Does not have to have the button's on as I could use my existing one's also no need for the airbag.
-
Yup it will be the final stage resistor, Exact same thing happened to mine a couple of weeks back. Its a common fault with the E46's, You could get one off of Brent or Ray but being second hand who knows how long it may last. I bought a new one from the dealer, very pricey but at least it should give me no problems for quite some time. Here is a link to the DIY of replacing one on a rhd >>DIY for replacing final stage resistor<<

I did this but without adding the buttons on my E46. I used my existing garage remote control and wired it into the map light switch. Push the button once and door opens push it again and door closes. Works a treat, Just solder shorted the micro switches to on and put a resistor and fuse inline to the power from the map light switch and bingo. All fits in behind where the interior and map lights are. No muss no fuss. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....st&p=351061

Andy best thing to do mate is get it scanned as soon as possible to find out what its throwing out.

No not on mine. Otherwise I guess they could only replace with OEM. I just don't want to be shafted with some generic piece of sh*t.

Couple of question's really, Had to do a trip this weekend up to Nelson and on the way windshield got clobbered by some a**hole speeding past in a roadworks. Its put a crack which is to long to fix on the top left hand corner of the screen. My insurance company is State so gave them a ring and they said no problem's and referred me to smith and smith. Got a call from them and they said yup they have a stock screen there they can put in but I said is it OEM and he said errrmmm don't know, I said I want an OEM screen with the green strip like mine. He said ok I will get hold of the branch and they will have to source one. How can I tell its an OEM screen they replace it with apart from having bmw on it, The 3% tint ??. Anything else, Guess i could ask to see the shipping receipt. The other question is just over 2 weeks ago I replaced my FSR for the climate control, This morning when I went out to the car up in Nelson I get no response from the fan and it looks like the part has already packed up. I have the receipt from the dealer for the new part, If I go in they should replace it at no charge correct ??

Well mate it looks like you have alot more patience than I would. I could just not work with the public, within the first 15mins somebody would be getting a punch on the nose lol.

Got home today to find mine sitting at my door step which Andy delivered in person while he was down here. Just a pity I was out of town would have loved to have shot the breeze with him and checked out his new toy. I swapped out my front bumper trim and threw on the euro frames and on went the plates. f**kin nice they are to. I will definitely be in on the next round and get me some more but next time something I can put on for photo shoot's etc
-
If you want to get it sorted properly I would be taking it to a tech , May have to do some live monitoring to find out what is really going on.
-
Yup mine had it as well, It was the first thing I removed.

Got a f**ken puncture, Took it to Tony's tyre service and they fixed it for free, Did not know they did that. I thought you had to have bought the tyre from them or something. So was Woot got it done for free, Cheers guys. (needed a new valve stem)

Was $402 all up including the gst. Off the top of my head was 35% tint, But add that to the 3% already in bmw windows and it puts it were I wanted it to be. Yup price was for all the window's , Except the windscreen of course.
-
Picked it up this arvo, Looks real good, Its hard to take pictures so it does it justice. I am more than happy with it and its just the right amount of tint i wanted.
