New cambelt, waterpump, subframe bushes, gearbox mounts, engine mounts, diff mounts etc Service history a bit patchy in places but have the original service booklet and manual. A few more pics

1989 BMW E30 325i 4 door 5 speed 2.8 m20 engine (Graeme Clyde built) Full mtech 2 kit Motorsport seats, steering wheel, gearknob 15in basketweave alloys New Bilstein shocks New ATE power groove front discs and green stuff pads all round Full onboard computer Sunroof Towbar Sony Cd Royal metallic blue ABS 179 miles, newer engine, gearbox, suspension etc The car has a few paint chips and a couple of small bubbles on the sunroof, but not bad for a 21 year old car! I have the front mtech II spoiler which is mega stone chipped but not cracked, I will also include another front valance as the current one is a bit bent. A new foglight as one is cracked and I also have an uncracked dashboard which could be negotiated on. The current dash is cracked and a bit rattley. I also have a set of 16 in Hartge alloys which could be sold as part of the package (see photos). I also have a very keen buyer for the mtech 2 kit if you want the car cheaper but with a different bodykit. Price $7000. If no interest on here I will be listing on trademe in a week or so. Hi, just wondering what other people are running in their E39's? Workshop manual recommends BMW oil only, but surely Castrol makes something suitable? 0w-40 or 5w-30?

Bought it, thanks to Ray for checking it over and for the few repairs needed. I won't actually get to see it in person and drive it for 5 weeks! It should be a good trip home though. My E30 will be for sale at some stage. (if I like the 530i)

OK, so I have just driven a 528i motorsport and was fairly impressed overall, it went better than I was expecting and I even thought the tiptronic was ok. (I've never owned a auto) I then found a 525i motorsport which was ok, a bit more power wouldn't hurt though! Love the interior and feel of the car and they handle ok too. So I am happy enough it is a 5 series I am after and I imagine the 530i will go better than the 528i. Now to see how it comes through the pre purchase check.........

Thanks for the responses, I am going to test drive a couple of 530i's here tomorrow (non motorsports) and maybe a 528i motorsport too. I need a bigger car as the E30 is not quite cutting it since we had a new addition to the family! I was initially interested in a 330i ms but they don't feel or seem much bigger than the E30. So hopefully I will know by the end of tomorrow and I will be in contact with either Glenn or Hellbm for a pre purchase check. BTW, my E30 may be up for sale at some stage.

1st Fiat 125, bought for $200 in Wellington, serious rust, green moss growing on the carpet, litres of water sloshing around in the boot, if you let go of the steering wheel it would go to full lock! Drove it to the ferry to get across to Picton and then home to Blenheim, chewed out the front tyres in about 25kms. Blew the exhaust clean off when my mate went to pass me in his Datsun 1200. But it had a recond 1600 twin cam which went nicely in my 124. 2nd Toyota Corona 1985, this thing was stuffed but lasted us for a couple of months while in the UK. broken engine mount so the gear lever had a mind of it's own when accelerating/de accelerating, rust, back door handle broke off, big shimmy at 55mph+. Things just keep falling of this one. 3rd VW beetle 1200 about the only thing this was good at was backfires! Top speed 62mph and awful fuel consumption, probably due to the fact that you had to have your foot welded to the floor at all times.

Looking good. You just need to paint/clean the white oil cooler! Just be careful when going over judder bars, bumpy ground etc not to catch your tyre on your front guard. That's what happened on my E30 when I had my 16" rims on with that size tyre.

Hi I am after an royal blue metallic bonnet in excellent cond. Also a sunroof in excellent cond. Decided I might for once, get my car tidy and enjoy it before I sell it. Hopefully it will be cheaper buying new (s/hand) panels than respraying them. In Chch.

Thanks for the replies. The car is at the garage (BMW service centre) having the valve clearances set, new plugs and a general look over and scan. Hopefully this finds something.

Sorry to bring up an old post! Have replaced dizzy cap and rotor. The old one looked shot so I thought I had found the problem. But lately it has been startiing on 5 cylinders again. After figuring out which one is not firing (No 4) I have pulled the plug which was fouled. Not oily but black carbon on it. Cleaned it up and put it back in and it runs fine. The car usaully runs a bit rough when first started but comes right when warm. Anyone else had this? E30 325i 1989
