Hampton Downs track day - Sunday 2nd May - $130 - 2010
Jamez replied to HaNs's topic in Track Day Events
The 333i is normally stored at hampton down so i'll only be driving the e30 down. edit- but it is unlikely at this stage that it will be going -
I doubled up the spring pads and its made a good difference in the rear, sitting near perfect height imo, pic was taken on a slight downhill slop so it sit about 5mm higher on the flat. There front are stiff as sh*t but overnight have settled a bit.
-
Uploaded some more pics to trademe, surprised its already got 500 views with 4 people all asking for AA checks then when given the reply they can pay 3 of them said they couldn't afford to.....wtf
-
Thanks I'm thinking I will leave the rear springs in but double up the spring pads so it sits a bit higher. The fronts on the otherhand are getting replaced, will be dropping the front so the guard is just above the tire, if anyone wants to do a trade on springs that would be awesome. ( current springs are King springs )

Apparently only the pf/l M e30's came with bilsteins and fl M cars came with sachs shocks
-
ha I have my man on the shore that might paint some other parts at the same time, depending how much it cost to get the ride height correct. Might skip on compressing and just get another pair of front springs, I also need to get some front shocks so its looking like its going to be pretty expensive exercise unless something pops up on trademe over the next few week's.
-
yeah, really want the front at about this height... any ideas on the cheapest way to do so? ( apart from cutting the springs )
-
got some springs off ray, The front's look to be the same height but the springs are allot shorter, think it might because they are a lot stiffer? on the other hand the backs are a bit low. Still have to get the front tech2 painted.
-
no idea. parts car had 130 miles on it, but the whole front end had been replaced at some stage, so I doubt it was the original engine. It goes hard
-
Need some new shocks for the front of my e30 with 51mm struts Wanting some bilsteins or Koni race series shocks Name your price
-
+1, Telecom were good tho, took 1 day to reply then 4 days till I started
-
guessing its for an E36 as he recently sold a E36 and is currenlty selling e36 headlights Having said that if he says its for an e30 im going to be all over it
-
Where abouts in NZ are you, is it for a road or track car? Just curious
-
looking nice, goodluck with finding some new wheels
-
Took some more, front isn't looking pretty at the moment tho. Was thinking that too, the current tires looks kind of bulky (205/55/15 on a 8" rim) Next job is to get some lower springs as currently the front is way too high.
-
So I put the tires on and it looks a little odd, can't say I like it yet but when I get some lower springs it might change the look a fair bit. I'm also going to have to get the rear guards rolled a bit as its a pretty close fit. edit- Fixed the valve leek on one of the wheels
-
by my calculations going from a 6.5" rim ET 34 to a 8" rim should make the new offset ET15 edit - my other set of RS's are ET25
-
Got the wheels done this arvo, couldn't resist a trial fit but it looks odd without tires.
-
nah the guards are still standard so ill need to sort that at some stage.

I don't think its that great of a bargain. It would need a respray, has rust and the bumpers are glued on. Also the interior looks really rough. Also comes with bottle caps and no recaro's, would take allot of money to bring up to nice condition but sure is cheap.
