barge vs handling. Power sometimes isnt everything I personally do think AWD really does ruin a road cars characteristics. Most of the world doesn't need it these days as we all dont get bad snow. That and traction control / DCS is that good these days that grip isnt really too much an issue.

another one !!!?!?!???!! ....

This is my friends ollie's car. One of the cleanest examples youll see. And one hell of a car. Hes spent a lot of money on the engine bay. wait till you see the size of the intercooler. This car is in near mint order. hehe I remember taking these photos

They will look great dude, Just: A ) make sure your get the right offset (say no to umbrella effect) (18x8.5 @ 38-40mm offset depending on tire brand should be good) B ) make sure you lower it on decent springs (please dont dump it down however) You will love it!

e39 540i it fella. Or e46 330i .. there are a couple of manuals floating around for sale. The auto on a higher powered BMW isnt as bad an option as it sounds.

sweet yeah steer away from the "ebay" catalog on trademe. One thing youll learn about BMW's is there is nothing better than OEM parts. because BMW employeed the M program so many years ago, parts have been developed to a high standard and styling you'll find OEM is best. Wheels wise, its too easy to fall into the trap of malaysian junk wheels. Your mods will go something like this. Wheels (BBS etc etc) / springs (maybe coilovers if ya can jutify) Exhaust (euro style not the RPS ketzel sterling special(s) *shudders* ) / intake Bodykit BMW OEM Euro white/clears "angel eyes" / xenon headlights Sway bars upgrade Interior (with leather you never go back) Other suspension components (camber tops / bushes etc etc) LSD / ratio upgrade m3 brake /aftermarket upgrade Cams (if non vanos) Headers Intake upgrade Manual conversion Lightned flywheel / knife edge crank / bored and stroked to 3.1 ltr / higher compression. Or go the m50 turbo option (really need a manual for this) Welcome to your next 4 years

yeah but he to chuck a turbo on it to do it m6 ala natural. just poking fun Yeah it certainly is a buyers market, My advise if I may be so forward is to look around, learn the shapes and face lift vs non face lift. White/clear indicators, side markers, wheels etc etc Jump on other site around the world too. you may be paying a few more grand for that car with the m3 kit and leather seats but it means you wont have to do it all later on and will save you big $$$. Its not easy to get the parts by themselves second hand. Also consider the auto vs manual thing. Lots of guys switch to manual down the track.

sweet man, just make sure the re clear coat the lip else it wont be clean looking for long.

pfffft motorbikes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfvUMs_NshQ nah welcome mate .. If you can afford it, grab a e36 with the m3 kit already on it saves you spending quite a bit later on as youll want to go that direction.

nah it was really down to the wire. Dixon lead the race for the last 30 laps, problem was he wasn't drafting, and his drafting partner ran out of gas about 8 laps out, Franchitti stayed back drafting whoever up until the last bit, then pounced. Dixon was stronger but just ran out on the last corner. Was really a luck of the draw thing Apparently the fuel pressure light came on at turn 3 He knew he was in trouble 2 laps before the end.
-
Such a shame he ran out of fuel on the last corner!!! talk about down to the wire ...... He was leading too and would of won the whole thing! so gutted!! like im actually dark .. haha

What ever you do, dont remove the oxygen sensors down stream. The computer can't run the engine properly with out them. There is a very restrictive piece BMW put in-between the cat and the second muffler. This was for emmissions and minor noise reasons. Best power mod you can make to an e46 cheaply is change the pipes from the cats to the tip into a twin pipe config.

Article: One of AC Schnitzer's Frankfurt debuts mixes very high performance with a little bit of a greenish tint. Behold the GP3.10, a 3-Series coupe that has been completely transformed with a full interior and exterior overhaul (which you will either love or hate). The car's name tells you the rest of what you need to know: * GP: Gas-powered, as in Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) * 3: For 3-Series * 10: For 10 cylinders Roof WingYes, that's correct. The GP3.10 sheds its stock I6 for a worked-over V10 sourced from an M5/M6, and AC Schnitzer has fitted the motor with an LPG system that turns the car into a dual-fuel monster dishing out 552 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. The driver can switch between fuel sources (gasoline or LPG) at any time, and LPG is readily available in Germany (2,700 filling stations, according to AC Schnitzer). There is the added benefit that CO2 emissions when running on the LPG are 15% lower than when on gasoline. But let's be honest, potential buyers of something like this aren't looking for green-ness. They're probably more interested in the gaudy 4.5 second 0-62 time and 198 mph top speed. As for the equally gaudy multicolor, multi-textured interior and the fully-Schnitzered exterior, we'll leave the judgments to you. We will say that the center-outlet exhaust is pretty nifty, but we are so not crazy about that little F1-style mini roof wing. Source http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/07/frankfu...-gp3-10-concept

Dear doug, When you test drive the m5, bring it to auckland. your friend josh

It all depends on the quality of tire as well, 18's are only as good as the tire wall. 18's on a e46 look a bit small, especially on an M3 with the taller guard arches. Ideally if your after the look the perfect sizing is 19x10et22 275/30 rear 19x9et39 245/35 fronts. This does not make the ride hard at all specially if your running standard spring rates. off topic: A lot of people think that lowering these cars (or any car for that matter) effects the ride quality. Its the old story of you pay for what you get around springs / shocks. You can have the same "comfort" level lowered down to a sporty height as standard.
-
Standard we're 18inch those are 19inch optioned wheels.

I wouldnt be so quick to jump on that thread. The boot is a stick on spoiler and not a one piece boot. I would think its one of the bumper producers like rieger pulling a publicity stunt. -
This is for anyone else asking about "coilovers" style setup on an e30. Info on the Ground Control setup .. this is m3 specific, but it will work for 'm' front struts. You also don't need to use koni shocks. http://e30m3performance.com/installs/GC_susp/GC_susp1.htm

friends of .. yes Watched Get away in stockholm 7 again last night. The 500hp S/C m3 with straight pipes is a demon on wheels. while is not the best thing, its pretty amusing what they get up to.
