  1. Depends on the offset ... if they are modelled for the M3 they are setup for a gaurd that can handle a 10inch rim. e46 M3's have a slightly wider track than the non M3s. For e36 owners, Im pretty sure the most you can run is a 245 / 8.5inch rim on the rear. This is a Pic of the wheels on trade me on a '00 m3 For the front you'll be fine but it is possible you may need to roll the back... check my gaurds out, I'm running a 9.5 rim on the back with a 42 offset (m3 offset).. should be running 38 :/ dam shop stuffed up. In this photo you can see how close I run. The main problem is the bolt where the bumper connects to the fender (under the gaurd) and the top lip of the gaurd (which needs to be flared a little) get it done professionally as they know how to do it without cracking your paint. Oh all this info is also based on if your thinking about running super low springs or adjustable coil overs. Which I highly recommend, else your car is gonna A) look too high due to an 19inch wheel increasing the appearance of wheel size (bigger wheel smaller tire height) and B ) Lowering the center of gravity which is really important running a staggered wheel setup so you don't get teh understeer awww (235 and 265 tires). hope this helps
  2. yeap all in the offset ... seeing as they are purpose design for e46 .. you'd be sweet
  3. ahh riding 19s qith 30 profile aint all that bad .... you only have to just avoid/take it easy on: Manhole covers, potholes, big cats eyes, driveways, judderbars, cattlestops, rocks, gravel roads, roadworks, open road shoulders, curbs and erm ... I think thats about it. people look at me weird driving down the road avoiding manhole covers ...
  4. the main difference is the drive and suspension setup (oh and the your missing a boot ) in all seriousness .. I think they would be some what the same.
  5. youll get the 8's on .. dont count on the 9.5s with out doing some wide body work 8's = 225 x 19 .. wont cost that much however they are e46 wheels the advertised 8 inch doesnt sound right .. I would say they are 8.5's as staggered setups are sold in 8.5, 9.5 sets for the M3 .. 9.5 = 19x 265 are expensive
  6. Basically, shopping online for modification parts is my only option. New Zealand just doesnt hold stock of anything decent. I found out a month later after getting my wheels from a NZ retailer .. that I could have had bought them in myself for cheaper (like $3000 cheaper!) including shipping... the only saving grace is that they are under warrenty here. as long as bush is in power shop online for the win
  7. hes basically copied the M3 GTR styling .. which I personally dont like (road version)... The thing you have to understand about the states is that they take everything to the extreme. Everyones trying to out do each other. Personally I think they miss the point half the time of what BMW represents. Suttlety and perfection.
  8. heh ... cant wait to see this thing in silver .. GM dont know how to design, everything outta ford / GM looks glued on .. these look like they are meant to be.
  9. Suit ya selves ... (the wheels are photoshopped in but some interesting bumper designs coming out of the US)
  10. This may change your mind.. Presenting the new 2006 M-tech 330i .... soooo much better than the SE version
  11. yeah congrats ... the 04 facelift has some sexy front lights on it.. nice Mtech2 18s too dude ... and the factory sports suspension .. good sh*t.. Now, are we going to see you at the auckland drive next month ... I need another 330 to play with!
  12. very interested thanks! ... let us know
  13. I wouldnt mess with it ... its a pretty sensitive balance the e46 has and you'd just screw your near perfect handling.ohhh and do please post pics when you've completed your DDEs !
  14. got e46 m3 ? the e90 m3 aint even finished weather testing yet dude ...
  15. I have owned both the e36 and currently the e46.. A 328i will be a lot more fun .. however for qaulity and 'newness' the 318 e46 would be your choice. The interior of the e46 is about two car generations ahead in contrast.. If you want fun as others have said .. go the e36, if you want comfort go the e46. E46 wise .. they arn't that expensive to service. However 'performance' parts cost more than e36's. if ya have any questions concerning both .. hit me up on PM
  16. it looks like an mr2 in a strange way ... too jap for my liking .. however ... I have not seen one in the flesh
  17. The new e90 m3 is still in road testing up in germany .. Further road test models will be sent to the US (Arizona) South africa, Eastern europe and arctic circle regions for weather testing. this process takes about 6 months. they then make final adjustments and start to unveil the 'finished look' after that .. I'd say we are about 6-8 months at least away till real models start appearing at the motor shows.

    Z4 Coupe

The M version will have the e46 345hp M3 motor in it ... they always do n-1 when it comes to the Z series ... the Z3 M had the e36 evolution model engine (320hp)
